Chapter 31-Hardin

Tessa is so drunk it's the funniest thing ever I'm so going to tease her over the way she is acting in the morning Karen and Ken are gone home so is Landon ,Nora and Addy so it's just us and the Vances and me and Vance are the only ones not drinking and Kim and Tessa are pissed and I don't want Tessa to be to drunk when I give her gift tonight

Smith is sitting with Auden who is laying on his lap  and Emery and Karina are running around playing full of energy "there wasted"Vance sits beside me looking over at them two who are singing into the karaoke machine "merry Christmas everyone"they sing well more scream into the small mic

"Daddy"Emery comes running over "Why is mommy and Kim acting louder then usual"she says and Vance laughs "because there drunk"he says and I glare at him

"They drank to much soda"I tell her "oh is that why you never let me have to much"

"Ye..yes"

"Grandpa you will never guess what happened"

"What sweetie"

"I'm at the top of my class in reading and writing"she tells him excitedly "is that so"

"Ye and mommy says you own your own company and I was thinking maybe I can work there"

"What age are you now"

"10"

"Well when your 11 you have a job"he tells her and she smiles "I told you he would say yes"she points to me and I raise my hand in defeat as she runs of "she won't forgot that"I tell him "who knows she might be a best selling author like her father" he says "Hardin Auden fell asleep"Smith tells me and I take him from him and bring him down to bed when I go back out Kim and Tessa are opening another bottle of wine

"Maybe yous have had enough"I say "Excuse me"Kim continues opening the bottle "We are growing women"Kim takes a gulp of the wine passing it to Tessa

"Ya Hardin strong independent women"Tessa then takes a even bigger gulp "Kim pace yourself"Christian try's to tell his wife and she raises her eyebrows "I can do what I want mister"she slurs and Tessa laughs she looks like if she drinks anymore she will pass out "how about shots"Tessa suggest and Kim claps her hands and they run into the kitchen

"This isn't going to go well"Christian says

"Nope"I say and we follow them into the kitchen and they have 12 shots on the table "Tess your going to get sick"

"I won't"she slurs back and starts taking the shots and she can barely get the last one down she looks like she is going to get sick or pass out

"I think you had one to many"Christian says to Kim and she nods "Smith Karina are yous ready" he calls for his kids and Smith comes in with a sleeping Karina in his arms he really is such a nice boy and Emery follows them in "I love you kids so much"Tessa hugs all 3 of them "especially my beautiful little gi...gur..girl"she slurs grabbing Emery into her arms "I love you so much"she kisses her all over and Emery looks at her in disgust and Emery gets her self down from her arms "thank you for such a lovey Christmas"Kim hugs Tessa "No thank you"

"I love you so much my best friend"Kim keeps on hugging her "I love you to"Tessa starts to cry "sorry I ...get..so emotional when I drink"She says and Kim pulls away "Merry Christmas again"Vance says and "Merry Christmas"Tessa shouts and they leave and I put Emery to bed I go back out and Tessa is laying on the chair Christmas music faintly playing in the back Tessa stands up when she sees me and stands up and wraps her hands around me "How are you feeling"I ask her "I don't think I'm that drunk am I drunk"

"Not not at all"I try to say without her laughing and we move across the living room slowly dancing to the song playing hoping Tessa doesn't throw up I hide the music up a little bit and we continue moving around the living room thankfully she is sobering up a bit and I can finally give her what I have been planing "Tessa"

"Yes"she looks up at me shit it's real now I'm just going to do this "Tessa since the day I met you I have loved you even though I was to stubborn to admit it you have thought me so much about my self and everyday you make me want to be a better person you are the best mom to our kids and we all love you so much"she looks at me with confusion "Tessa will you marry me"I get down on one knee and open the box and her eyes go wide

"Hardin...I don't know what to say"she takes a step back what does she mean she doesn't know what to say all she ever wanted was marriage suddenly the mood in the room changed fast
