Chapter 22-Tessa

"Emery be good for mom"Hardin tells her as he leaves "Dad I will be"she tells him "ok give me a hug then"she runs over and wraps her little arms around him "and you"he stands up "I love you"I tell him I know he is only gone one night but with the new baby it's great with an extra set of hands "I love you but I have to leave now or I'll have to miss my flight"he says and I realise I am still hugging him a couple of hours later and we just finished dinner now to feed Auden

"Emery I just have to feed Auden do you want to watch television"I ask her and she shrugs her shoulders "I'll go play in my room"she skips down the hall and I go into my room "Are you hungry again baby" I take him and he opens and closes his eyes again I hear a lot of banging out side "Em what are you doing"

"Just getting something"she calls back and then I hear a scooter "Emery you can't go on your scooter inside"

"I can dad let's me"

"Well he shouldn't"I stand from the bed and walk out and she is going down the hallway "Emery be careful the apartment is to small"

"It's funnnnn"she zooms past me I walk out to the living room and put Auden in his chair "That's enough now stop"

"Boring"

"No your going to hurt yourself"I try to stop her but she turns and goes straight into the coffee table "ahhh"she screams and I can see the blood I quickly look at her and her forehead is cut open "Emery we need to go the hospital"I grab her then grab Auden and run out of the house without even thinking we drive the hospital and straight away Emery is seeing they where concerned over all the blood "Mommy I'm sorry"She cries

"Just relax it's ok"I try soothe and "Emery Scott"the doctor calls and we go back

"Looking at how deep the cut is we are going to have to do stitches to close it up"

"No way" Emery shakes her head "Emery I promise it will be ok"

"No mommy I don't want to"she tells me "I'm sorry baby but you have no choice I'll hold your hand ok"I say to her and she nods laying back on the bed thank god Auden hasn't woke up yet but my phones starts ringing shit it's Hardin I just press hang up I can't talk to him now I put my phone down I hold Emery's hand she squeezes it as the doctor starts "ouch"

"Your so brave baby"I tell her she is just like Hardin she always needs reassurance once the doctor is done he gives Emery a lollipop and of course she is happy now her gives me instructions on how to clean it they should be out in 2 weeks to schedule an appointment just as I strap Auden into his car seat he starts to fuss "Emery give him his pacifier"I hand it to her "baby brother it's ok where on the way home"she tries to soothe him it melts my heart the way she calls him baby brother she is warming up to him more and more everyday but he still keeps crying and Hardin rings again "Hey babe"I say into the phone

"Hey What's the noise"he asks

"Auden is just crying baby we will be home soon"

"Where are yous it's 7pm in New York"

"I just ran out of diapers had to run the store"I say and I can tell he doesn't believe me "mommy my stitches are hurting"

"Wait what did Emery say"

"She is just watching a YouTube video ok I have to go I'm driving bye"I hang up the phone if Hardin knew what happened he would be on the first flight home
