The daily Monopoly games resumed after that.

The next day at work was definitely on the awkward side. Hotch had called the couple in to speak of what Marceau said.

"The information that Marceau spoke of isn't true. I'm not in love with Elizabeth, I merely see her as a co-worker and a close friend. I hope we can move past this."

"Of course."

During the weekend, Liz had decided to bring the BAU ladies and her sister to the dress fitting, praying her dress would be good for the wedding that was to take place in roughly 3 months time.

Soon enough, a lady came in, dress and veil in hand leaving Liz to slip into in the tiny space of the changing room.

Pulling the white material up her legs and around her chest made her feel all giddy. Politely asking one of the ladies who worked at the store to zip her up and place the veil on her, she grinned when she was done. Liz immediately kept to her promise, calling Spencer.

Throughout the entire dress, tiny delicate flowers were embedded into the white fabric. A strip of the flowered fabric hung off her upper arms, creating an off shoulder effect. The bodice fit her like a glove, molding to her curves so perfectly. The skirt began high on her waist, the flowers still consistent all the way down the long train. It wasn't too puffy, more of a modified a-line, but it still had a princess feel. The veil was longer than the train by roughly 5 feet. It was plain with bits of delicate lace on the edges, it was perfect.

"I promised I'd call you when I had the dress on, so I'm here. I've got the veil on, too."

"I don't even need to see what you look like because you're already the most beautiful girl in the world to me, but I still can't wait to see you."

She giggled like a schoolgirl. "I love you so much, but I have to show the ladies. I'll see you later, yeah?"

"Yeah, sweetheart. I love you."

"I love you, too."

Walking out to find all the ladies on a sofa in conversation, they immediately went silent and directed their attention to their friend. It didn't even take a second for them to start gushing out compliments, tears welling up in everyone's eyes. Soon, the noise died down, allowing normal conversation to take place. "So, is this the one?" JJ smirked.

"Absolutely."

"Oh, can this be like an episode of 'Say Yes to the Dress'?" Garcia exclaimed, a massive smile on her face.

"I call dibs on asking!" Emily interjected. "Are you, Elizabeth Bundy, saying yes to the dress?" Her voice was dramatic, making Liz burst into small giggles after practically yelling "I'm saying yes to this dress!"

After heading back into the changing room to slip out of the dress, her phone rang. "Elizabeth Bundy, here."

"I need you and Reid to work on something, you'll have to take a flight out to Colorado." Hotch's voice had never sounded so unpleasant.

"Can't you get someone else to do it, like Morgan? You're taking away the magic of a dress fitting, Aaron."

Pause. "Is the dress nice?"

"It's wonderful."

"You look stunning in everything you wear, Elizabeth."

"Thank you, Ronnie." The silence was deafening over the phone. They both knew what he wanted to say but couldn't. Liz knew that if the 3 words left his mouth her legs would turn to jelly and she'd be putty in his hands without even knowing it, but he couldn't bring himself to say anything else without risking their friendship or her happiness. "I'll be in Colorado."
