Liz got home that night with a worried mind. Diana had already been fast asleep. Spencer narrowed his eyes when he saw his wife changing the password for the house alarm.

In their two years of marriage, he'd never seen her with such a heavy state of mind.

"The new code for the alarm is 060908." She shifted over to her right, swiftly swinging a picture frame open to reveal a safe behind it. "And the new safe code is 021205."

"Our wedding and anniversary date?" She nodded. "Why are you changing it?"

"Just safety precautions, that's all." She shrugged, picking up her phone. "Hi, this is Supervisory Special Agent Elizabeth Reid from the Behavioral Analysis Unit. I need a security mechanism installed on my office door."

He couldn't hear the other person speaking.

"Yes, an ID scanner would be fine, only a select number of names can be let in." Pause. "Okay, the only IDs that can enter the office are mine, SSA Spencer Reid, SSA Aaron Hotchner, SSA Emily Prentiss, SSA David Rossi, SSA Derek Morgan and Penelope Garcia. Okay, thank you." She placed the phone down, sighing.

Spencer approached his wife carefully, wrapping one arm around her and resting the other on her bump. She toyed with the wedding band on his finger. "What's going on, sweetheart?"

Her eyes pricked with tears. "I can't tell you." She sobbed quietly. "It's got something to do with that Interpol trial I did years ago, I'm just taking safety precautions." He nodded.

"Let's get to bed, yeah?"

Garcia and Rossi were the only people who knew the baby's gender for the sake of the gender reveal they wanted to throw so badly.

His entire back garden was littered in all things pink, blue and purple. Family and friends were there, eating and laughing. It was a bit of light in the dark time they were going through.

Rossi had decided to invest in a massive 4 tier cake to reveal either pink or blue, no matter what the couple said. Now they stood by this giant cake, a both hands on a knife.

"1." Everyone began counting down.

"2."

"3!" They took the first cut, then the second. Spencer helped get the actual piece of cake out into the open, revealing the pigmented food. Everyone cheered loudly, bursts of confetti popping and spewing out onto the fresh grash.

The colour of the cake was blue.

"We're having a baby boy." Liz declared, in total awe. Spencer grinned, wrapping his arms around her.

"Yes, we are." He confirmed.

"A grandson for me to spoil!" The couple laughed at Rossi's exclamation, accepting hugs and congratulations.

That was a day of pure happiness.

Liz was very, very close to her due date and she was having a difficult time, to say the least, but she still managed to make it to work. She sat in the round table room with Emily, both of them on their separate phones but connected to the same call with Tsia Mosely.

"Tsia, it's Emily and Lizzy. Where are you?"

"Bois du Boulogne."

"That's a significant change of address." Liz joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"That's not the only change, I got engaged!"

"Wow, you and Jeremy! That's great!"

"Lizzy. What's wrong?"
