His own breathing was the only sound Fruit could hear, which was deafening in his ears as he stared at his feet, wet with slush and diluted blood. If he could go back to that day, the one in the Skeld when his fate had been chosen for him, he would have refused and willingly let his life be taken. It was too late now however, he had played the game and won.
