Chapter 3 - On the Way to Hogwarts

September 1st, 1991

Y/Ns POV

Surprisingly, I enjoyed the last month before the term began. For the rest of the summer, I read up on all of my books for Hogwarts and played with my new kitten Gracie. A subject I'm really excited for is Transfiguration which is the magical study of turning one thing into another. I really can't wait to get to school and start learning magic!

The month of August as well as my 12th birthday went by without delay and eventually the calendar turned to September. I woke up early on the morning of September 1st since the train was departing to leave at 11am. I've always been an early riser so it really wasn't much of a problem for me. Throughout the morning, I thought about how new this is all going to be for me.

I've never really had the opportunity to leave the sanctity of my home and go explore a new place. I'll be meeting lots of new people and learning new things. It's both scary and exciting at the same time.

I really hope I can make some new friends as well like I did with Hermione. Speaking of Hermione, I've been thinking about her a lot for the last month. Theres something about her that I really can't figure out. She was the first friend I ever made and the thought of seeing her again made me very happy.

Me and Uncle Thomas arrived at Kings Cross Station by apparating there. Which is pretty much like teleporting from one place to another. It was really brilliant!

Another thing I learned over the summer is that my Uncle works as an Auror for the British Ministry of Magic. Aurors are law enforcement individuals who apprehend dark wizards and witches and investigate crimes pertaining to the dark arts. Probably explains why he leaves for long periods of time quite frequently.

As we arrived at Kong's Cross Station, I began to look for a Platform 9 3/4, come to think of it, why the hell would there be a Platform 9 3/4 there's no sign of it anywhere. I looked at my Uncle very confused "Well we can't have any muggles finding Hogwarts now can we" he chuckled as we went to face a wall.

"Now all you have to do is run at the wall between platforms 9 and 10, and whatever you do don't try and stop"

"Have you gone mad, I'm not running into a bloody wall!" I exclaimed

But before we could continue the conversation, I noticed a large family of gingers bustling through the
Very active train station. At the head of the group was a very plump woman with flame like hair, much like the rest of the family. Most of which my Uncle seemed to recognize.

"Molly?, Molly Weasley?" He exclaimed

"Thomas L/N! It's been so long! It's wonderful to see you again!" Molly says as she goes in for a hug

"How are you and the family doing" Uncle Thomas says as he separates from the hug

"Me and the family are doing just fine, it's those two that can be a bit too much trouble" as she points to a set of identical twins

"Speaking of family, I don't think you've seen Y/N here in quite a long time have you?" As he brought me up forward with him.

"You are quite right I haven't, my word Y/N I haven't seen you since you were a baby! I'm Molly Weasley dear"

"It's a pleasure to meet you ma'am" I reply with a smile

"Oh and so kind just like his mother, may she and Steven rest In peace"

I feel like this isn't going to be the first time I get these comparisons

"These are my children!" as she brought her kids over so I can meet them "this is Percy one of our oldest, our set of twins Fred and George, our youngest son Ronald, and our youngest and only daughter Ginny"
