I walked confidently while smiling to my friends who were greeting me. My heart hurts, not because of pain, but because of happiness while looking at them... because these important people indicate my success. I can't do this without their help. Kung hindi dahil sa tiwala nila sa akin, hindi ko magagawa 'to.

"Welcome back, Engineer Vergara!"

Mahina akong natawa at bumeso sa kanila. Isa-isa nila akong nilapitan at niyakap nang mahigpit. Hindi ko mapigilan ang paglaki ng aking mga ngiti dahil sa kakaibang salubong nila sa akin. Well... tagumpay lang naman 'yong isang big project na ako ang engineer na ginawa ko sa Dubai kaya ganito sila katuwa.

Looking back at my achievements, until now, I could not still believe that I did it... that I strived hard to achieve all of these, na nalapagsan ko ang lahat lahat no'n, na naabot ko na ang pangarap ko... but there are some dreams that I couldn't get but these are already enough for me. My only goal for this year and for the next year is to give my parents a happy life.

We have the money, yes, pero gusto ko na pinaghihirapan ang lahat ng bagay. Mariin kong nakagat ang aking pang-ibabang labi nang makaramdam na naman ako ng kakaibang pakiramdam. I am proud of myself... because I didn't use our connection to people, na hindi ko ginamit ang pera para maabot 'to. I'm proud of myself because I did all of these with my own struggles and hardworks.

"Narinig ko, may bagong project na naman daw na ipapahawak sa 'yo, Syd!" Anna said, isa sa mga kaibigan ko. "Hindi ka ba napapagod?"

"Napapagod, siyempre," I spoke slowly as I felt tired. "But I love what I'm doing kaya wala sa akin 'yang pagod pagod na 'yan!"

We came back in Manila after my graduation and I immediately found a job here. I am an engineer under AYF Philippines, Inc. Aziel, my brother's bestfriend owns this. Isa na siyang sikat na architect ngayon dahil sa sobrang galing niya sa larangan ng arkitektura. Kahit na malapit ako sa owner nito, hindi ako nag-take advantage. Ginamit ko ang buong skill at talent ko rito para lang makapasok dahil gano'n dito. Hindi sila kagaya ng ibang company na bias.

"You are still beautiful," Anna played with my hair. "Hindi ka mukhang stress."

I chuckled and I felt that I blushed because of her compliment. Hindi ko na inalintana pa 'yon at nilabas ang bags na dala-dala ko kanina. I gave them the souvenirs that I bought in Dubai. Isa-isa nilang tiningnan 'yon at ang iba pa sa kanila ay nag-agawan. Natawa ako dahil sa kanilang mga itsura. Napanguso ako nang makitang mukhang kulang ang nabili ko.

I shook my head and heaved a sigh. I felt drained because I was so tired but I have no choice but to do my job because Aziel called me. May meeting ngayon para pag-usapan ang new project. This project is bigger than the project that I held for the past years. This is a big opportunity for me so I grab it because this is a blessing in disguise.

They were all laughing until I waved them my bye as I saw the time. I walked gracefully. My heart is smiling. I'm in good mood today even though deep inside, I'm so tired. I did a retouch because I know that I look stress kahit na sabi ni Anna ay hindi ako mukhang stress. I look pale because of the dark cirlces that I have got under my eyes. I putted a red lipstick on my lips before I decided to walk again.

I could hear the sound of my heels as I walked faster than my normal pace. Mas ginanahan pa akong maglakad dahil sa tunog ng aking takong. Ngumisi ako at hinawi ang aking buhok nang marating ko ang meeting room. I saw Aziel's assistant and she showed me a warm smile when she glanced at my side. I nodded my head before I walked in.

"Good morning, Engineer Vergara," Aziel greeted me, smirking.

"Good morning, Architect Francisco," I greeted back, rolling my eyes because I know that he's a fake. "Don't ruin my mood today." I gave him a fake smile. He chuckled after that.
