Chapter 24

Ellie's POV ~~

A thousand questions were swarming inside my head after my conversation with Lucas.

Why was he asking me to come there? Why he sounded so serious and what was so important?

I couldn't help but feel anxious and felt like something bad is going to happen tonight.

I looked around at the people that I loved.

Even though, I haven't known Matt and Blake for that long time I still felt like I deeply cared for them.

Just a few months and we would be off to college.

I honestly don't know what's gonna happen with me and Harry as I know he had to go and make his career.

Just when I started thinking about it, I stopped.

Live in the moment, El, don't think of the future. I reminded myself.

"Hey. What are you thinking about?" A voice whispers in my ear as hands wrapped around my waist from behind and I feel his taut chest touching my back.

His warm breath fanned my ear as he placed a wet kiss right below it.

I smiled and answered "Nothing."

I see Anna and Belle looking at me weirdly and with whats-is-happening eyes.

I shake my head at them and tells them through my eyes that I will tell them later. They understand and nod their heads.

We do that a lot, we totally can converse with each other through our eyes.

I feel Harry placing a kiss on the crown of my head.

They were announcing the prom king and prom queen of this year.

I wasn't really surprised when Susan was announced as the prom queen. But actually was really surprised when Lucas turned out to be the prom king.

Not that I don't like it, I am happy for him but he was never the type to get into this all prom king contests.

I never registered my name for the prom queen because neither I was interested nor I thought I was beautiful or popular enough to be the prom queen.

I didn't had any time to register too in the past months as I had only one person in my head and that's Harry.

Soon after Prom King and Queen had their dances, people started swarming on the dance floor to dance.

"Let's dance!" Harry shouted through the music with a big grin on his face.

I nod my head at him with a smile on my face too.

We grinded our bodies together as an upbeat song started playing through the speakers.

Dancing here and there with our friends, it felt so great.

But suddenly the mood changed when a romantic song started playing after a few songs.

My hands went around his neck and his went on my waist as we started swaying with our foreheads touching.

His eyes stared in mine as if wanting to unveil every secret that I hide. His green eyes with blue specks in them, you could see only if you look closely.

His mouth turned up as his mouth formed a genuine smile, I blushed under his gaze and couldn't help but ask "What?"

His fingers touched my chin as he lifted my face up.

"God, you're so beautiful" He murmured as he looked at me with so much love in his gorgeous eyes.

I turned beet root red and couldn't help but giggle. I hugged him, resting my face on his chest as his hands wrapped around me, holding me close.

"I missed you" I muttered in his chest and kissed his chest over the clothes where his heart is.

He kissed on my head and let out "I missed you too, love."

His grip only tightening more around me as we still swayed on the dance floor.

I break our hug after a few moment, to ask him about the party in Susan's house.

"Are you going to Susan's party afterwards?"

His face turned into disdain as he grunted out those words like it was the most obvious thing in the world "No."

"Why would I?" He questions.

"Because I am going?" I answered but it sounded more like a question.

"Why are you going to her party? Don't you hate the bitch?" He asks with confusion.

"Of course I hate her" I roll my eyes at that but continued "It's just, Lucas invited me and said it was really important. He sounded serious.

"What is that much important?"

"I really don't know" I shrugged.

He nods but there was still some hesitation and confusion in his eyes, probably thinking about what is so important to Lucas.

I pecked his lips and said "Don't worry, everything will be okay."

That beautiful smile again graced his face.

I had said to him that everything will be okay but my gut is saying something is going to happen tonight.

Something real bad.

I just don't know what that is and I don't know if I really want to find out.
