Averys POV:

Today was Saturday, the day of the Halloween party, and to say the least, I was not excited. At all. The last time we had a party I fell into a pool and was brought to the hospital and I'm not looking forward to anything else along those lines happening again.

I step out of my room putting on sweats and a large jumper then tye my hair into a bun going downstairs. There were already workers bustling around the house decorating the place with the decor that we bought the other day for the party tonight.

It was just me, the twins, Eli and Damon in the house. Sheila and Mike had left earlier this morning to go to a business meeting in the next city over, I remember Sheila saying it was about collaborating with other well-known companies and models when I asked her. They weren't going to be here for three days so I guess that gave us time to clean the house and leave it 'spotless' as Sheila had said before. 

Will was going to stay at his girlfriend's house for the night. He hasn't said much about her but from the way he spoke about her, you could say he really liked her. Jesse had gone to stay with one of his friends saying something about going to get a drink at the bar.

I go into the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea and the twins were there. Looking at their messy hair I could tell they had also just woken up as well.

"Morning," I say filling a mug with hot water.

"Good morning," Alex says.

"What's with British people and their tea? It's not even that good but ya'll drink it like it's your life support." Benji says and I almost laugh. 

My lips twitch wanting to do exactly just that and the action doesn't go unnoticed. "YO! I almost made you laugh!" 

Benji starts jumping around excitedly as though hed won some grand prize and Alex laughs joining in with his brother. I didn't get why they took trying to make me laugh as a big deal.  

"Can you guys shut up?" Damon enters the kitchen with Eli behind him and I roll my eyes. Turning around I put a tea bag into my hot mug and take a sip. 

"I almost made her laugh," Benji says proudly. 

Damon looks at me with an unbelieving smile on his face before looking back at his little brother. He jabs his thumb pointing at me. "Her? Nah, that's impossible."

I ignore him putting a teabag into my mug and stirring it with a small spoon. "Shut up."

He laughs bitterly and to avoid something from happening I decided to leave and go into the sitting room putting on Netflix.  I put on Hanna and lean back comfortably on the couch with my warm mug of tea. A perfect way to spend a Saturday morning.

Just when I've finished with my tea I hear a squeal coming from the front of the house and I turn my head just in time to see Faith, Elena and Veronica bound into the living room with large grins on their faces. 

I throw my head back into the couch and groan loudly. I had forgotten all about today. God.

"Avery! Why aren't you ready?" Veronica groans equally as loud as me pulling me up from the couch making me stand up. 

Elena comes over and takes the mug from my hands and looks at the watch that rests upon her wrist. "Girl, we have an appointment in like 40 minutes."

I nod my head matter of factly. "Exactly. 40 minutes. That's more than enough time to get there."

"No, it's not because if we miss this we won't be able to book another appointment cause it seems like half the town is coming to this party." Faith says shaking my arm with a whine.

She wasn't wrong about that. So many people were talking about the party and I don't think anyone would want to miss it. I mean I wouldn't mind but they were probably going to put me on a leash and force me to go if I didn't. 

But this one won't go horribly wrong like the last one, right? I sigh knowing that there was a 50 percent chance of me regretting this later on in the hours to come. "Fine then."

I run towards my room upstairs telling the girls ill just be five minutes. I go into my bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. After I'm done I grab my brush and brush through my thick hair. Then, going into my wardrobe I pick out an outfit that was just another large jumper that was grey, straight-legged blue jeans, my doc martins, and a small black bag that I put my phone, charger, earpods, and purse in. I throw my hair in a bun not wanting to have it in the way and put on a little bit of lip gloss, then rush downstairs.

"I'm ready now," I say to the girls who stood by the door. 

"You said five minutes and that took 15," Veronica says pointing at her watch.

I shrug my shoulders. "Uhh oops?"

An hour and a half later were now at a costume shop choosing our Halloween fit. 

I spent the past hour and a half being dragged around by the girls. First, we had gone to a hair salon to get our hair done, even though it was just a Halloween party they sure went all out. Elena and Veronica got platinum blonde streaks in their hair and curled them. Faith had gotten red streaks in her already curly hair. Not knowing what to do with mine I died the back of my hair blue and also a few strands at the front as well. I don't know how Sheila and Mike are going to take this, hopefully, they're not mad.

After going there we had gone to get our nails done. We got the same thing which was black acrylics. It was fun getting pampered like this so I didn't mind it.

Now we, correction, they were looking for a Halloween outfit while I just trailed behind them.

"Avery, any idea on what we should dress up as?" Elena asks me. 

I look towards the racks of clothing before looking back at her shrugging my shoulders. "I don't know."

"How about we go matching? All four of us?" Faith suggests and the two girls smile at her liking her idea.

Veronica grins widely. "Yes! We should it'll be so cool."  

"But the only problem is what well wear." Faith sighs.

There were very nice costumes and none of us knew which one would be better.

"How about we go as people from The Purge?" I propose.

"YES!" They all shout at the same time and I jump in fright. They were so loud.

Twenty minutes later we're on the way back home with our outfits in hand.
