Personality: Hestia was known to be very gentle and mild. She was kind, forgiving, and content. She chose the life she wanted -- a life that did not include marriage or wild adventures. She was able to provide for others and to devote her life to her family and community.

Backstory: Hestia, Hera, and Demeter were born on February 27, 1807 to Henry and Summer Papadopoulos. A year later, their mother gave birth to another set of triplets; Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. There was an older sister as well, named Aphrodite. It was a family tradition to give children "odd" names, so Summer and Henry named their children after the children of Rhea and Cronos.

Hestia didn't really get along well with her siblings. But she and Aphrodite were very close, despite being total opposites.

In fall of 1810, Summer fell ill. She had caught influenza, and no one was sure if she would make it. Hestia didn't know what was happening, but knew that Aphrodite was upset, so she did her best to comfort her sister. After Summer's death, Hestia stood by, crying, as Aphrodite terrorised the doctors, and their father and aunts. Hera and Demeter tried to console her, but it was of no use.

Henry raised the children to the best of his ability. But there was something odd about each child. None of them seemed quite sane.

On May 29, 1820, Henry died under mysterious circumstances. It is believed that Aphrodite killed him, as she had seemed to hate him, and she and her siblings disappeared after his death.

The siblings ran away to America. They arrived in late June of 1820, sailing from their home in Greece to New York. They started anew, each going their separate ways, despite being children.

Hestia, Hera, and Demeter went off together to become a singing trio. They were going to be stars. However, Demeter and Hera got into an argument over who would be the lead singer. This turned into a fist fight, which Hestia stopped by shoving her sisters away from each other. Demeter fell back, hitting her head and getting a concussion. Hera was knocked unconscious.

Afterward, Hestia fled to Canada, where she met a group of four girls; Katherine "Kathy" Markson, Eleanor Smith, Amée LeBlanc, and Phoebe Hall. The five became fast friends, often spending time together.

In spring of 1823, however, things took a shocking turn. Phoebe, sweet, sickly, Phoebe, confessed to her friends that she was having an affair with a professor at a university near where the girls lived. Repulsed, Kathy, Eleanor, and Amée took Phoebe to a river to "cleanse her of her sins". Hestia was forced to come along, too, as she was there when Phoebe confessed.

The girls took Phoebe into the river, holding her under multiple times, despite the girl's weak lungs. When Phoebe stopped struggling, they panicked, and made it look like a suicide.

Never speaking of that again, the girls went their separate ways, though they kept in touch.

Years passed, and nothing much happened. Hestia visited her siblings, they all had a grand time. But on May 1, 1825, Hestia received a terrible letter. Her friend, Kathy, had been murdered. It seemed the killer had found out about the truth behind Phoebe's death, and was seeking revenge. Hestia was instructed to hide, which she did. But it was no use. She was found and murdered on May 22, 1825 by Prof Patrick Rose. Phoebe's lover. Hestia was only 28 at the time.
