Ash P.O.V.

I combed my hair, holding my breath. Knowing what I was to do was something scarier than taking on Giratina himself. I saw the flowers on the bed, and took. They cost me fortune to buy but I had to do it. I remember all the advice Misty and Dawn and the others had given me, and the first course of action would be to ask her out.

I looked at myself one last time at the mirror, judging that I was ready and went out of my room. Thankfully Clemont and Bonnie were not there, and I went on my way. I remembered that Serena was out so I went out. She was supposedly taking a stroll at the park, alone. Best time for me to execute it.

Putting on a smile, I went along the way. I soon made my way to the Geosenge Town Park, and I saw her, pretty smile on her face. I went upto her.

"Serena?" I asked.
She turned back to me. I felt my heart going even more nervous at the thought of asking her that 1 question. What will she say? Will it be a yes or will it be a no?
"Yes, Ash?" she asked.

"These are for you," I gave her the flowers.
"Any reason why you are giving them to me?" she asked.
"Uhhh, there was this one thing I wanted to ask you?"
"What is it?"

My heart started pounding harder than ever before. This is it! No turning back now.
"Will you go out on a date with me?"

To my surprise Serena started....laughing? I had no clue as to why. When she finally recovered from her laughter I saw a nasty smirk on her face.
"You really thought I would really date a puny idiot who can't even win a pokemon league," Serena remarked. "No! I have someone much better to date!"

"Hello, there, Ashy-boy!" came a voice.
"Oh no!" I said.
It was Gary, the childhood rival who had always brought me down.

"Now, here is a real man I would like to date," Serena said. "Professor Gary Oak of Kanto."
"Hey, babe," Gary said.
As they leaned in on eachother.

"No, no, no, no, NOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Suddenly my body pulled up and all was in darkness, I saw Clemont sleeping on the bed next to me then I realised something.
It was all a dream.

(Heh, I'm such a troll aren't I?)

The next day

Ash and his group are now in a Pokemon Centre on a small town near Shalour City. Ash has got 2 badges and has a team of Pikachu, Fletchinder, Froakie and Hawlucha. Serena has also caught herself a Fennekin and Clemont helped himself to a Chespin (basically everything that happened in XY upto episode 37 or 36 in the dub).

Serena P.O.V.
"So, when are we getting to Shalour City?" I asked. "I want to see Ash's battle with Korrina! It will be awesome."
"Yes, it will," Clemont said. "We just have to cross one cave standing between us and Shalour. It's called the Reflection Cave and it has countless mirrors in it. It's often a greatly visited tourist spot."
"But, I bet Ash is not thinking about any of that," I said. "I bet he's thinking about his battle with Korrina right now. Isn't that right Ash?"
"Huh?" Ash said, as if he has just come here and was away the entire time. "Y-yeah I am."
"Uhhh-ok."

Going in this journey has been the best decision I have ever done. I don't think I just have a little crush on Ash anymore. It has grown much furthur than just a petty little crush. Ash is now so much more nicer and mature than he was back in Kanto but still has his funny and goofy side.
That's why it was killing me with worry that something was apparently bothering him.

"So, this is Reflection Cave, I guess," I said.
"Yes, in we go," Clemont said.

"Wow, it's so pretty," I heard Serena say, gazing at the beautiful cyan mirrors. "I see why so many tourists come here."
"Yeah," Clemont said.
