Chapter 38

*Naoki's P.O.V*

Right after hearing what the witch said, the prince hurried out of the forest heading to the cave with his steps fastening with every moment, thinking about nothing but to save the princess

After hours of nonstop running he took a moment to catch his breaths to realize that he's standing infront of the cave

He entered slowly and started exploring around him 

He went deeper as he saw something glowing in the dark, he approached it carefully to find out that the source of it is the purple diamonds

As soon as he got close enough to touch them, he heard a deep voice coming from nowhere

"Put the diamonds down and exit the cave at once"

He realized that it must be the voice of one of the spirits

"No! I need this to save the princess"

The voice repeated: "Again, put it down If you want no harm to be caused to you"

He put in his pocket, having no intention to give up

"We, the great spirits, will grant any wish of yours but you must return the diamond and forget all about this place"

"My answer is still no … such a thing would not make me change my mind" the prince informed with a solemn tone

"So you chose the hard way? Why would you risk your own life to save someone else? Even If you survived you will be punished by the king"

"I must take responsibility of my actions no matter what happens"

"Then you shall get ready to die!"

A great fight began between them …

The spirits were attacking from the shadows and he was no match for them, yet the strength and bravery of his heart were stronger than them all

And it's what leaded him to the victory

He took the diamond and got out of the cave, hardly standing on his feet, he returned to the forest as he saw the witch and gave her the diamond

"Too late," she said taking it "she's already in a deep sleep"

He asked about her current location as the witch told him that the soldiers returned her to the castle

Not knowing how the king would react to that, the prince has hesitated a bit, but he soon realized that it's not the right time to be thinking about that

Once he reached the castle, the spirits started leading him to the princess through a safe way as they admitted their lose and made sure that he wasn't a bad person

The prince carefully entered the princess's room and got closer to her, looking at her sleeping face as he felt guilty

"I am so sorry" he apologized with a low voice knowing that his words will make no difference

"All I wanted is to make you happy … but it was all wrong"

He stopped for a while and stared at her "I wish I could say that earlier" …

In that time, I noticed someone opening the door

"Karen!" I called and rushed towards her as I held her wrist

She tried to move her hand away and get out but she couldn't as I made her face me then kissed her

*Keita's P.O.V*

Once he called her, Shiroi's eyes rolled towards them forgetting all about the play

"Shiroooi your sentence!" I whispered

She looked back at me and tried to complete "I … love you"

I put my hand on the back of her head bringing her closer

"You can be mad at me later … but don't show such a face"

My lips touched hers and I slowly sucked her lower lip, turning it from a fake stage kiss to a real one
