Few days later, I was reading a book when the doorbell of my apartment rang

I went to check it as I saw mom standing there

She gave me a hug then asked about me a little

"How are you Shiroi? Weren't you lonely in this apartment?"

It was silent for a moment as her visit surprised me

"I'm fine …"

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah" I let her in hoping that she won't mention anything about my siblings or returning home …

She sat on the couch then took a box out of her bag

"I suppose that's yours, right?" She gave it to me

I opened it to see the watch I bought for keita's birthday, looking new!

"Mom ……"
I was just speechless

"It's been ages since you bought something for a guy, I thought it must be someone really important to you … so I fixed it for you"

"Thank you mom" I smiled

She asked me few more questions about my current lifestyle, school, exams and such then she left saying that it's getting late and I should sleep but I couldn't, as I was having hard times trying to relax and make a clear wise decision at the same time

But well, after a deep thinking I finally figured out my answer

On the next day I wanted to talk to Keita about it but he was absent

After school, I dropped by his house

I asked his mother about him and she answered that he's in the hospital

I had a feeling that it has something to do with Kiyoshi but I wasn't sure

Next, I headed there and entered the room he was in

The atmosphere was calm, there were flowers in a nearby desk and a bandage over his head, his eyes were closed as he was sleeping deeply

After moments of looking at him and looking around I whispered "Keita … what happened?"

He slowly opened his eyes and started at me wordlessly for a while

"Who … are you?"

Those three words shook my body … I felt a sudden sharp pain in my chest and my heart felt heavy

I just don't know what happened to me

I did know how to answer

"Well, I'm …………"

The harder I tried to explain the more watery my eyes got

"I'm …… uh … On your birthday … you asked me … If I would go out with you … I wanted to tell you … that my answer …… is yes … but I guess …… it's too late now" I slowly said in between tears with a shaky voice

"So … you're trying to say that you love me?" He asked with blank eyes

"I don't know … why I took too long to understand it … but … yeah … I ……… love you …"

A smile slowly appeared on his face then he hugged me, a long tight hug "I love you too, Shiroi"

I realized that I was fooled and he didn't really forget about anything but that doesn't matter now

I kept sobbing for a bit longer as he continuously caressed my hair

"Welcome back, my Shiroi ~"
