"So, Lyra, what did you have in mind today?"

"Nothing really," Lyra shrugged as her and Pyrrha walked through the empty corridors of Beacon Academy. "Just wanted to hang...and I wanted to tell you that we're totally gonna crush you at the Vytal Festival!"

"I look forward to the challenge," Pyrrha chuckled at Lyra's competitive nature. "But you should know that my team is more than capable as well."

"Like they need to be capable, they have you! You can just destroy any team or person, I'm sure of it."

"Well, you don't have to praise me so highly," Pyrrha shrugged. "I'm not that good, Lyra. I'm sure I'll find many people who will provide a challenge."

"Yeah, that's all they'll be to you. A challenge! Then you'll destroy them and tada!"

"Sure, sure. So, uh...what's going on with you and Nico?" Pyrrha tried to veer the situation off of herself. Lyra's eyes widened.

"Wha-what do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb. An sister's intuition is never wrong. So, what's going on?"

"Nothing! Absolutely nothing. Literally, nothing," Lyra's words fumbled out of her mouth quicker than she had expected. "Who's Nico?"

"...That's your best defense?"

"...Well, what do you want me to say?" Lyra huffed. "That I'm undeniably in love with Nico? Cause I'm not. You really think I'd fall in love while I'm barely an adult? Hell no."

"I didn't say fall in love, you did," Pyrrha pointed out with a slight smirk. "But no, I don't think you did. I do think, however, that you did at the very least,  develop feelings for her."

"...Regardless of how I feel, it doesn't matter," Lyra couldn't help but think about her previous relationships, where either she or her lover had never ever felt anything close to enjoyment. "No one could ever truly possibly feel the same for someone like me."

"...Well, do you really think Nico is the same way? Do you really think Nico has a reason to dislike you?"

"Just a little further...! Hah! I win!"

Tanya stood and began to jump up and down from excitement as she crossed the finish line. She was playing a racing game on the (insert basic platform name), and she had somehow managed to drag Janelle and Nico into it. Tanya had waited until Lyra was gone to pull out the game.

"How are you already at the finish line?" Janelle frowned and leaned forward intently as if she was willing her own vehicle forward. As a car bumped into her, sending her flying into an abyss, a frustrated scowl grew across Janelle's face. "I give up!"

"Y-You're d-doing better t-than me," Nico mumbled as she bumped into a wall about five times. "I-I'm o-only o-on my first l-lap..."

"Ah...Well, you guys will finish eventually," Tanya winced as more and more cars passed the finish line. "Eventually..."

"There! I did it," Janelle huffed before she set her controller down. She had ended up in near last place, only second to Nico...who was indeed still on her first lap of three.

"Yay, Janelle!" Tanya clapped before she turned to Nico encouragingly. Nico just sighed as her car barreled into the abyss.

"I-It's hopeless..."

"It's not hopeless! You've got this-uh...I think I know why you're in last place," Tanya couldn't help but laugh. "You're pressing the wrong buttons. See, this one accelerates..."

"O-Oh," Nico's car suddenly shot forward, and in much less time, Nico finished the lap. "I-I did it! K-Kinda."

"Yeah! One more round?"

"Fine," Janelle sighed as another round began. "What-Nico, you are beating me-"

"And me!?" Tanya screeched before she intensely began to clutch at her controller. Nico just raised her brow in slight amusement.

"O-Oh, so n-now I-I'm actually doing t-this right...J-Janelle, y-you should try holding the right b-button, y-you go faster-"

"Really? I-whoa!" Janelle's car shot forward. "Oh, I see!"

"Hey, wait, how are you both beating me now!?" Tanya wailed. "Alright, we're gonna play until I win-!!"

"We might be here for awhile..."

The door suddenly creaked open, revealing Lyra. She looked at them, a surprised look on her face before her usual fake smile made its way onto her features.

"Oh, hey! I didn't know we had a game like this," Lyra eyed the screen. "Cool!"

"Ah-yeah," Tanya exclaimed. "Yeah."

"Can I play?"

Everyone stared at each other before Tanya shrugged.

"Sure. Here's a remote!"

"Cool," Lyra said, though there was a certain look in her eyes that no one could particularly decipher. "Bet I'll win!"

"No way you're beating me!"
