Hermione hated such small things. Bending corners to pages, writing in books, drawing in books, defacing books. Basically anything marking a book. It annoyed her. And you, well, you had this habit where you drew little squares when you go bored. Or you'd write down jokes, or ideas when they came to you, because most of your thoughts happened or occurred when you were reading something.

Now that wouldn't have been a problem if you hadn't wrote in a library book. Even more if Hermione Granger didn't find said library book. But she did, and you had wrote in it. That's the story.

Hermione Granger spent her Sunday evening flipping through a history book when she came across your notes. Not sticky notes attached to the page, ink matted to the older fragile pages, she cringed.

If I read anymore history I might end up becoming it.

She was fuming. Who would do such a thing to a book? She read further there were more ranging from Who survives this? Just to die from writing it? or her personal least favorite, This man is bald. Can we really trust what he is saying? she slammed the book closed. She knew that handwriting from anywhere, she'd worked with you a few times.

You were Ronalds friend, and you've only spoken with her on a different occasion. You were in a different house than them, so you would rarely be around them, and only talked to Ron when you were. Hermione knew your antics, the twins talked about the incredible 'legendary' things you'd do, which she thought were incredible dumb.

She brought the book with her just in case Madam Pince found it. She couldn't sleep, she was so annoyed about the rude comments you left. The next morning she charged to the Great Hall seeing you right where she wanted you. Before she took her seat she slammed the book on the table halting the conversation.

"Y/F/N, can I talk to you in private?" she asked. Ron shooting her a glance, she ignored it.

"I guess so?" you questioned, moving to get up. You caught a glimpse of the book and smirked. Once you both reached the end of the corridor you spoke, "How can I help you Granger?"

"Why'd you write in this?" once the words left her mouth, she felt incredible dumb, she didn't think of this conversation.

"HAHA, you found my greatest work. Ha, but by that look you think otherwise, princess," you added the nickname, you knew it made her mad and flustered. Ronald told you.

"Princ- don't call me that, and for starters yes, I think otherwise!"

"Mhmm, alright well maybe you should write the reasons, I wrote mine," you chuckled.

"What! No, could you be serious for once, it's against the rules to write in books."

"Ha, funny, coming from you, you are the queen of breaking them."

"What are you on about."

"Hermione look around, you've broken ever single school rule, don't talk to me about breaking them, who cares if I write little notes in the side of the book, I am witty, and smart about it, if it flies over your head-"

"My head? I am the brightest witch of our year! It doesn't fly over my head, it's just disrespectful."

"So is sneaking out of the dorms, making potions that are the restricted section, stealing ingredients," you reasoned. "Listen they are reasonable, they are funny. Let it be."

"You are extremely difficult, annoying might I add, incredible dumb. I can't believe you right now! Unbelievable sums of you up, explains why you are friends with Ronald ("Aren't you too.) God, it's so annoying, you are smart, witty, I'll give you that, extremely attractive, why does it have to be wasted on you. You of all people, god, you know that? How attractive you can be, the way you speak I watch your lips move and I want them on mine-" she was cut off with lips on hers.

You backed her up against the wall, she gasped, you pulled away with your hands staying on her waist. "Shut up Granger, for the love of Godric and Rowena shut up," you whispered. "God you can be annoying too, always rambling on about wrong and right."

"Because I am always right," she whispered, shocked as to what just happened,."I said all of that out loud?"

"Yes. Or I would've asked after you were done. Merlin's Hermione do they ever tell you to shut up?"

"All the time," she smiled, looking at you.

"Bad time to ask if I can take you out?"

"Nope. Perfect timing," she smirked, leaning back in.
