Chapter 36, "Oops"

"Nick?" I questioned, pulling him into a big hug, "Oh my god what are you doing here?"

"Hello to you too bug. I came to see you." he smiled.

"That's amazing, but I thought I was the one coming to visit."

"Yeah knowing you, it would've been 50 years," he laughed.

I walked around and sat at my desk as he took a seat in front of me.

"So how's it been?" he asked.

"It's been good actually, and you?"

"Good. Well....I wanted to see you because I met someone." he said, shyly.

"That's great Nick. What's her name?"

"Alice. She reminds me a lot of you actually. I just miss my best friend Jayda. That's the real reason I'm here."

"I miss you too Nick and I'm glad you got the closure you needed. Once again, I'm sorry for holding you back."

"You're good. If I'm being honest, I wanted that kiss more than needed," he laughed.

"I figured," I smiled.

"You were talking about me, seems like you've done pretty well yourself. This whole building is yours?"

"Pretty much. I've basically built it from the ground up....hey you should come to dinner tonight. I know the kids would love to see you again and we could catch up."

"That would be lovey. I'm sure Harry knows about me, is he going to be a problem?"

"I'll make sure he's on his best behavior." I said, getting up to give Nick another hug.

"Then tonight it is."

He hugged me and kissed me on the cheek goodbye. This should be interesting. All I could do is hope that Harry didn't act like the jealous man he is.

hours later....

Today so far has been a really good day. I closed phase 2 of my project and the company gained a major rises in product. Now I have to go home and try and persuade Harry to not act a full tonight. Other than that, I was really excited for everyone to meet Nick. He still holds a big place in my heart after all these years. He's my best friend, my first best friend at that.

Harry's POV

Today has been a good day. Now all I want to do is be alone with my wife and family. I finished my last song and now it was just a waiting game with my manager. Merch had to be made, advertisement plans, and even a potential tour.

My Love: We have a guest tonight and I need you to promise you'll be on your best behavior before I tell you.

Oh lord.

Me: Okay. Who is it?

My Love: I'll tell you at home. Love you xoxo.

Jayda's POV

I was really nervous for Harry's reaction but I'm sure he'll be fine. I sped home since it was already late to be starting dinner. When I walked in the house, I found Harry in the kitchen getting something to drink.

"Hello baby," I smiled, giving him a kiss.

"I know what you're doing Jayda. You're trying to butter me up so I don't get mad about something. What did you do?"

Well fuck.

"I told you. I invited someone over for dinner." I smiled, innocently.

"Yeah I got that part but whom?"
