Chapter 75, "The L Word"

Jayda's POV

The kids were at Harry's and Corbyn practically forced me out the house for some reason. We ended up at the WDW house. After surprisingly seeing Kara here, Jonah ushered us into their studio to play us one of their songs.

Corbyn sat in his producer chair and I sat on his lap as he worked the buttons to play the song. Jonah's voice came booming through the speakers and I listened to the words intently.

"You know me the best you know my worst, seen me hurt but you don't judge. That right there is the scariest feeling. Open and closin up again I've been hurt , so I don't trust. Now, here we are starin at the ceiling."

"Ouu this my part." Zach boasted, humming along.

"I've said those words before, but it was a lie. And you deserve to hear them a thousand times..."

"If all it is is 8 letters, why is it so hard to say. If all it is is 8 letter, why am I in my own way? Why do I pull you closer then ask you for space?" Jack voice sounded through.

"If all it is is 8 letters, why is it so hard to say?" I recognized Corbyn's voice.

"Isn't it amazing? How almost every line in our hands align, when your hands in mine. It's like I'm whole again, isn't that a sign I should speak my mind?" Daniel sang.

Zach's part repeated along with Jack's while Corbyn pitched. My eyes were closed as I listened and my arms were snaked around Corbyn's neck. He rubbed my back comfortingly and rested his face against my chest. I opened my eyes to see his face to find him already looking at me with glimmering eyes. I rubbed his hair out of his face and continued listening to the track.

"When I close my eyes, it's you there in my mind. When I close me eyessss...."

"It's only you...."

"When I close my eyesssss..."

"When I close my eyes, it you there in my mind..."

"You..."

"When I close my eyes...."

"If all it is is 8 letters."

I opened my eyes back up and couldn't help the smile that came onto my face.

"So, what did you guys think?" Jonah asked, but it was clear he was speaking directly to Kara.

"I love it, just like I love you." Kara smiled, kissing his cheek.

"Aren't y'all just the cutest?" Zach teased.

"What about you? What did you think?" Corbyn asked, looking deeply into my eyes.

"C'mon." I smiled at him, getting off his lap and taking his hand in mine.

"And where are y'all going?" Kara asked.

"Mind your business." I smirked.

"And that's our cue." Daniel teased.

"Yeah we finna go. I don't know where but we'll give y'all a few hours." Jack laughed.

"Oh chill out would you?" I joked.
