Chapter 44

"X-Xord," utal na saad ni Astreille nang makalabas sila mula sa restaurant na 'yon.

Nag-aalalang niyakap siya ng lalaki bago siya halikan sa noo. "Fuck. You don't know how worried I am right now, Astreille. May masakit ba sa 'yo, baby?" nag-aalalang kunsulta nito sa kaniya.

She shook her head. "I'm fine. Ikaw? Ayos ka lang ba? Kumalma ka nga muna, hinihingal ka," nag-aalalang niyakap ng dalaga ang nobyo niya.

"I'm sorry, baby. I almost died when I heard that fucking explosion. I thought something happened to you."

"Bakit ka nga pala nandito?" takang tanong ni Astreille sa nobyo.

"I followed you all the way here, pakiramdam ko ay may masamang mangyayari sa 'yo. I'm glad that you're fine now, Astreille, please don't make me worry that much. I might die," bulong nito sa tainga niya.

Astreille smiled sweetly before nodding her head. "I'm sorry. Kumalma ka na, everything is fine. Wala nga akong sugat."

Tumikhim ang dalaga sa tabi nila. Pinamulahan naman si Astreille nang makita si Jezreel na nakatingin lang sa kanilang dalawa.

Kumunot ang noo ni Xord habang nakatingin sa kaibigan niya. "You are Jezreel?"

Jezreel swallowed hard before bowing her head. "Y-Yes."

"Stop saying things to my girlfriend. I am fucking faithful," mariing sagot ng lalaki bago muling yakapin ang nobya.

Astreille just raised her hand before forming a 'peace sign' to her bestfriend. Sana ay maintindihan nito ang ugali ng boyfriend niyang palaging tinotopak.

"Kuya."

Lumingon ang tatlo nang dumating si Bullet mula kung saan.

"Hey, where's your girlfriend?" tanong ni Xord sa kapatid.

"Pinabantayan ko sa mga tao ko. She's fine now. I caught that fucking bastard who planted bombs all over the area. I'll take care of that ass hole," malamig na saad ni Bullet bago lingunin ang babaeng katabi ng kapatid niya.

Bullet smirked a little. "Your girl?"

"My woman," Xord replied.

Bullet chuckled with his answer. "My girlfriend is still a girl, she's still a spoiled brat who needs my guidance," natatawang sabi nito.

Napangiti si Astreille nang maalala si Maxreign. "Maxreign is your girlfriend?"

Lumingon ang binata sa kaniya bago ilahad ang kamay. "Hey, I'm Bullet, Xord's younger brother."

Bago pa matanggap ni Astreille ang kamay ni Bullet ay agad nang hinampas ni Xord ang palad ng kapatid. "Back off, piece of trash."

Nilingon ni Bullet si Astreille. "Dispose my brother. He's rude."

Galit na nilingon ni Xord ang nobya. "No! I'm not rude. He's trying to touch you!"

"Xord kumalma ka nga, bakit naman ako makikipag-break sa 'yo dahil lang doon? Lagi kang galit, hindi mabuti 'yan sa 'yo," saway niya rito.

Xord just pouted before hugging her waist. Muli namang nilingon ni Astreille ang kapatid ng nobyo niya.

"Maxreign is your girlfriend?"

"Yeah."

"Ow, I see. Tinanggi niya kasi kanina sa akin 'yon," sagot ni Astreille.

He flashed a sweet smile. "She's not aware of our relationship. She's still innocent, and a spoiled brat."

Natawa si Astreille sa huling sinabi nito. "I talked to her a while ago. She's friendly and bubbly. I like her!"

"She'll love to be friends with you. She'll treat you like a barbie doll, see how childish my baby is."

Muling ngumiti si Astreille. She can see how proud Bullet is while talking about Maxreign. Ganitong-ganito ang emosyong nakikita niya sa mga mata ni Xord tuwing kausap siya.

"Stop talking to my girlfriend! Inaagaw mo siya sa akin! Bumalik ka na nga roon!" singit ni Xord na lukot na ang mukha sa inis at iyamot.

Bullet just smirked. "I quite understand you because I am possessive too. Yeah, I'll just go. Take care. Huwag ka muna sanang mamatay, kuya," nakangising saad nito.

"Huwag ka rin muna sanang mamatay, Bullet," walang ganang sagot ng lalaki.

"Fuck you. Come with me for a while. I need your cooperation with this. Just a minute, fucktard," malamig na saad ni Bullet bago sumenyas.

Nilingon naman ng lalaki si Astreille bago ito halikan sa labi. "I'll be back, baby. Stay here with your friend."

Tinanaw na lamang ni Astreille ang magkapatid na naglakad na papalayo sa kanila. Nilingon ng dalaga ang matalik na kaibigan nang tumikhim ito.

"I thought I died for a minute. Pakiramdam ko ay naging multo ako," tumatawang saad nito.

Nahihiyang tumungo si Astreille. "Sorry pala kanina Jez sa sinabi ni Xord. Gano'n kasi talaga siya magsalita. Walang pakundangan."

"It's okay. I like him for you. He seems like the type of a guy who can protect you, he's not even thinking twice to say that to me. Ibig sabihin, he doesn't trust anyone, and I'm good with that. Sorry for judging him that fast, Astreille, I can see in his eyes how much he cares for you a while ago. Send my apologies to him," paumanhin nito.

Nakita ni Astreille ang disappointment at sincerity sa mga mata ng kaibigan kaya matamis niya itong nginitian. "It's okay, Jez. He'll forgive you sooner."

"Stay with him, Astreille. I might not be always there for you when you need help, kaya kampante ako na siya ang boyfriend mo. He can protect you more than I can."

Astreille nodded with her teary eyes. Mahigpit niyang niyakap ang matalik na kaibigan.

"I love him so much to leave him. And thank you, Jez. Atleast kampante na ako na okay ka na sa kaniya. Ayokong may pag-aawayan tayo."

Jezreel chuckled mischievously. "Hindi naman kita aawayin dahil sa pagiging girlfriend niya. Baka umiyak ka pa."

"Hindi na ako iyakin," Astreille said while pouting her lips.

"Utot mo, 'yan nga, oh. Naluluha ka pa," pang-aasar sa kaniya ng kaibigan.

Astreille let out a laugh before wiping the tears on the corner of her eyes. "Tears of joy."

Bumuntong hininga ang kaibigan bago ngumiti. "Salamat naman at tears of joy na 'yan, hindi tears of pain."
