Chapter 61

Astreille slowly opened her eyes when she felt a warm feeling around her wrist. Agad na bumungad sa kaniya ang nobyo na nakadukdok ang noo sa gilid ng baywang niya.

She giggled softly. Agad namang lumingon ang lalaki nang marinig 'yon.

"Hey, you're awake," he whispered before leaning on her and kissing her lips.

Astreille smiled at Xord sweetly when he pulled back. "What happened?" she asked.

"You passed out after crying. I'm fucking worried about you especially when the doctor told me that you lost too much blood," nag-aalala nitong sagot.

Umangat ang kamay ng dalaga para haplusin ang makinis na pisngi ng nobyo. "I'm perfectly fine, baby. You don't have to worry about me that much. Masyado mo nang pinapagod ang sarili mo ng dahil sa akin."

He shook his head as he kiss the back of her palm. "I love you more than anything else and I'll do everything to keep you safe, baby. I'm alright too."

"Have y-you found Asero's body?" Parang may bara sa lalamunan ng dalaga nang itanong niya 'yon.

The thought of seeing the man who used to be her father killed himself in front of her gives her a deep pain.

"Yeah, he's already in a morgue right now. His family decided to cremate him."

"His family? Oh gosh, may naiwan pa pala siyang pamilya, Xord. Paano 'yan? Anong gagawin natin?" tarantang tanong ng dalaga buhat ng pag-aalala.

Xord caressed her cheeks. "It's alright. I'll sponsor them, inaasikaso ko na ang scholarship ng bata. Kuya Sebastian will give them money every month."

"Yung kuya mo? Hindi ba siya galit kay Asero? My dad is one of the reason why he developed that illness."

"He's going crazy about the thought of killing your dad, also. I'm glad that Autumn can calm him down when no one else can. His girlfriend is a good person and she convinced him about this. And about Arrow, she said that she have move on already and she'll be fine. Everything's alright, baby."

Ngumiti nang matamis si Astreille nang marinig 'yon. "I'm glad to hear that. Atleast I can breathe properly."

"I brought someone here to visit you, you won't feel excited to meet him but just try to be kind, okay?" natatawang bilin ng nobyo sa kaniya.

Hinayaan na lang ng dalaga ang lalaki nang alalayan siya nito para makaupo sa kama. She glanced at the door when it opened, agad na bumungad ang mukha ng kuya niya.

"Of course I'm excited to see--" naputol ang sasabihin ng dalaga nang makita kung sino ang nasa likuran ng kapatid niya.

She looked at other direction as soon as her family entered the room. Hindi niya alam kung saan siya huhugot ng lakas ng loob para tumingin sa tatay niya.

"Princess." She looked at her big brother on her side. Mahigpit siya nitong niyakap.

"Our dad's here, mind saying hi?"

"Siya ang bumisita, bakit hindi siya ang mangamusta?" sarkastikong tanong ng dalaga.

Liam Heveiana cleared his throat. Nilingon nito ang anak. "Hey, princess. I'm sorry if I just arrived right now. How are you feeling?"

"Ayos lang po," mahinahong sagot ni Astreille.

"I'm glad to hear that. Alam kong naguguluhan ka pa sa mga nangyayari ngayon kaya hindi kita masisisi kung ilap ka sa akin." He gave a bouquet of flowers to Astreille who gladly accepted it.

"I knew from the very start that you are my daughter. I just respected your mom's decision when she chose to introduce you to Asero. Kaya huwag mong isipin na ngayon lang ako nag-aalala sa 'yo," he sincerely added.

Nilingon ng dalaga ang ama na ngayon ay nakayuko nang bahagya.

"You commited a sin, Liam. You knew that. Pinagsisisihan mo ba ang lahat ng kasalanan mo?"

Liam nodded his head continously. "Matagal na akong nakokonsensya sa mga ginawa kong kasalanan. Princess, I sent myself to prison for 3 years to pay for those sins I committed. Lahat ng kagaguhan ko, pinagsisisihan ko. But I didn't regret that I had two amazing children. I had you and Ephraim."

Astreille immediately wiped the tears on her cheeks. Binaba niya ang bouquet sa kama bago ilahad ang mga braso sa ama.

"Hug," she said.

Kumunot ang noo ng ama niya. "What is it, princess?"

"Won't you give your youngest a hug?"

Liam chuckled because of happiness. Agad na tinanggap ng lalaki ang alok ng anak at mahigpit itong niyakap. Binuhos niya ang lahat ng pangungulila sa yakap na 'yon.

"Wow. It feels good seeing the two of you fix this," Ephraim uttered while trying to hide his tears.

Natatawang hinila ng dalaga ang kuya niya bago ito yakapin nang mahigpit. "Thank you, kuya."

"You're always welcome princess. I'm so happy that you came home safe."

"What do you want to eat? Bumili kami ng maraming pagkain para sa 'yo," Liam said.

Astreille just pouted her lips. "I want to go home. I hate Hospitals so much."

Liam nodded his head. "Where do you want to go? In my house or your house?" malambing nitong tanong.

Nilingon ng dalaga ang nobyo na nasa sofa. "I want to go with my boyfriend, dad. Can I?"

Liam Heveiana smirked while looking at Xord who's now standing in front him. Yumuko ang binata sa harapan niya.

"Good afternoon, sir. I am Xord Knights, Astreille's boyfriend. And if ever that you don't like me for your daughter, I just want you to know that I don't give a fuck--"

"Xord, ano ba," natatawang awat ni Astreille rito.

Her dad gave a loud laugh. Tumatawang pinagmasdan nito ang binata na masama ang tingin sa kaniya.

"Why would I take my daughter away from you? You met her first and you were there to protect her even if it's my responsibility. Ijo, hindi pa ako nababaliw para kalabanin ang isang Knights," saad ng lalaki.

Xord hugged his girlfriend. "Good."

Hindi na alam ni Astreille ang gagawin para mapatino ang nobyo niya. Walang modo talaga ang bibig nito, kahit sinong kausap. She just shook her head while laughing. Niyakap na lang niya pabalik ang binata.

"Let's go home?" Xord uttered to her.

She nodded her head. "To your house."
