Chapter 54

"Come here." Tinanggap ng dalaga ang kamay ng lalaki nang makita ito sa harapan niya. Inalalayan siya ng nobyo para umupo sa tabi nito.

They're on the rooftop right now, admiring the stars and the bright moon above them.

Xord opened the soda in can before handing it to Astreille. Nakangiting tinanggap naman 'yon ng dalaga bago sumandal sa balikat niya.

"The stars are beautiful. Especially if pinagmasdan mo sa lugar na ganito," Astreille whispered.

Maingat na hinaplos ni Xord ang mahaba at malambot na buhok ng dalaga bago ito halikan. "You sure you aren't sleepy yet?"

Tumuwid ng upo ang dalaga atsaka umiling. "I want to stay here with you. Mamaya na tayo matulog."

Xord let out a chuckle as he nod his head. "Yeah, sure. Whatever you want, baby." After that, he gently pulled her small waist before hugging Astreille from the back.

"I wish we can stay like this forever."

Ngumiti si Astreille sa narinig. "We can."

"I'm afraid you might break up with me again for unknown reasons. If only I can cage you inside my arms forever so you won't think of leaving me again, I'll fucking do it by any means."

"Xord, I told you, I'll never leave again."

"I'm just scared. Hindi mo alam kung gaano ako kabaliw na baliw sa 'yo."

Natawa ang babae dahil sa sinabi ng binata sa likuran niya. "Baliw na baliw rin ako sa 'yo."

Pilyong ngumisi si Xord. "Really? Gaano ka kabaliw na baliw sa akin?"

Astreille pouted her lips with his question. "I'm just returning the favor! Why are you asking me? Ayoko na nga, hindi na pala ako baliw sa 'yo."

Malakas na natawa ang binata dahil doon. Humigpit ang pagkakayakap niya sa nobya at marahan pa itong hinalikan sa pisngi. "Silly. But no kidding aside, I'm really head over heels to you Astreille. Hindi ko alam kung paano mo ako nilason."

Humarap ang dalaga nang marinig 'yon. "What? I never poisoned you! Ikaw nga yata ang nanlason sa akin dahil ang bilis kong nahulog sa 'yo."

Nanunuksong hinalikan ni Xord ang malambot na labi ng dalaga bago ito ngitian. "Am I that powerful?"

"You mean deceiving?" Astreille teased him back.

Nanggigigil na kinagat ni Xord ang ibabang labi. "Oh fuck, yeah. I am."

Astreille chuckled as she embraced Xord's masculine body. Binaon niya ang mukha sa dibdib ng binata dahil doon siya komportable.

"You said that you waited for me, for years. How did we met before? I swear, hindi talaga kita matandaan kung sakali mang nagkita na tayo," Astreille said out of nowhere.

Sumandal ang binata sa lamesang nasa likuran niya. He gently combed Astreille's silky hair with his fingers.

"I started writing in that app for no reasons. I just want to have fun since writing poems and novels is fucking fulfilling. It doesn't matter to me even if no one is reading my work back then, until my novels and my works blew up. I fucking got famous and I have no idea why." Paninimula ng binata. Tumikhim muna ito bago magpatuloy. "I have a plenty of readers, I am aware of that. But your profile caught my attention. A sunflower in the middle of night."

Napangiti si Astreille nang matandaan ang pinili niyang profile para sa account na 'yon. She took that photo by herself. Napadaan siya sa isang sunflower na matingkad ang kulay, kaya nakikita pa rin ito kahit madilim na ang paligid.

"You started reading my novels, my poems, everything. I can't help but to get curious with you. My poems are all dedicated for depressed people, for people with deep agony. But you kept on voting every single chapters. That's when I stalked your account and found out that you're a writer with a big fanbase also. You're popular. I read your works also and I love how you expressed your emotions there."

Ngumiti ang binata bago tumawa nang marahan. "I am fucking weird. Yes. But I pulled out all my connections to know the person behind this account. And it was you. Astreille Lheyden Heveiana, the most beautiful woman I ever laid my eyes on."

Pinunasan ni Astreille ang mga luha sa mata. "S-Salamat."

Xord chuckled. "I am damn lucky to have you, baby. You're a freaking goddess."

"Eh," Astreille replied. "Ikaw nga maraming naghahabol sa 'yong mga babae, e. Ako ang swerte sa 'yo.",

"We won't fight over that fucking topic. We're both lucky to have each other."

"Oo, kasi mayaman ka tapos ako ganda lang?" sarkastikong tanong ng dalaga habang humihikbi pa rin.

Mas lalong lumakas ang tawa ng lalaki dahil doon. "Ephraim is wealthy, he's your brother, and you own his money also. At kahit ikaw pa ang pinakamahirap na babae sa mundo, I don't give a damn. Money is not important for me. As long as I have you by my side, I'm forever contented with that."

Astreille smiled sweetly. "I'm still wondering why you fell in love with me back then even if you don't know me too well."

"I'm stalking you for years and who wouldn't fell in love with you? You're amazing, whatever you do, it makes me smile. Hindi ko alam kung paano mo ako binaliw sa pagtitig lang sa 'yo. Falling in love with you made me more eager to search about your life."

"That means, you know who my mom and my father is? Sigurado akong alam mo rin ang problema ng pamilya ko. Nakakahiya, parang napaka-problematic ko." Pekeng tumawa ang dalaga.

"I know everything."

Yumuko si Astreille dahil sa narinig. But he still doesn't know about his father's sin and mistakes.

"Including the reason why you broke up with me."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Astreille nang marinig ang sinabi ng lalaki. Hinarap niya ito habang nagtatanong ang mga mata.

"W-What?"

Xord grinned. "I found out about it last night. And I'm fucking mad with what he did. He ruined everything. Arrow's life and my brother's life. He's a big jerk for doing that, but it doesn't concern you, Astreille. Kahit anak ka pa ng gagong 'yon, wala kang kinalaman sa mga ginawa niya. You suffered to much, baby, you suffered because of your parents' problematic life and it ruined you already. So stop it, stop messing up with your life, stop ruining your happiness because of them. You deserve everything the world can offer and I'll make you contented. Just stay with me. Forever."
