Kelsey POV

Greg decided that today would be the best day to go on our first official date. Yup, that's right! Greg had gained my parents approval, and to celebrate we're going on our first date.

So, I stood in front of my closet trying to figure out what to wear. Valentine's Day is one of the most romantic days of the year, and I'm going on my first date on that day. What do you wear?

So, far I had two options. The first one was a two piece dress type thing, the top was cropped to an inch of two above my naval; it had thick straps and it was a light baby pink. The bottom was the same colour as the top and it was high wasted, ending where the top did but leaving a strip of skin in between it. With this outfit I would wear a pair of white heels and matching diamond earrings.

The second outfit was a bit more, classic ? I guess I could say. It was a light mocha brown coloured jumpsuit, it was strapless with a sweetheart neckline. It was also tapered at the waist, so it held my figure very well. I would pair this with a pair of silver flats.

Finally after staring at the two outfits I picked the first one. I liked it better and pink goes with Valentines Day.

After taking a shower and doing my makeup, a light neutral look with a pop of baby pink lipstick, to complete my look. I looked into my full length mirror and couldn't help but be proud of myself. I looked amazing, my makeup just highlighted my features and I looked like myself but better. My outfit fit my frame amazingly.

Who said you need a makeup artist and stylist for this? All you really need are a couple of YouTube tutorials and a little inspiration from the Kim K Game.

Walking down the staires I glanced at the clock that hung over the breakfast bar. It was six thirty, I had thirty minutes to kill before Greg came and picked me up. After sitting around and watching TV for a couple of minutes, I still had twenty minutes to kill so I decided to call Xavier. We haden't talked for a week since the BBQ party. I had been busy with work and he was busy doing his own thing. The phone rang twice before he picked up.

"Hello?" He answered, his voice sounded a bit groggy and out of it. He must have woken up from a nap, oops my bad.

"Xavier? It's me Kesley. Did I wake you up?" I whispered to him over the phone. I heard the faint sound of rustling sheets, further convincing me I had woken him up.

"Yeah, but it's alright. I needed to get out of bed eventually." He responded, pausing halfway to yawn. "So, what's up?"

"Nothing, I just was bored. So, I thought I'd call you, especially since I haven't seen you in a week." I said, adjusting my position on the couch. I glanced at the clock to see that there were only fifteen minutes left. I hope he wouldn't be late, I thought to myself.

"Glad to know I'm your option when your bored, Kels." He chuckled through the phone. I rolled my eyes, such a joker this one.

"I wasn't going to say anything, but. . ." I replied, continuing our joking banter. He just laughed.

"So, you know how today is Valentine's Day?" He asked me. "Well, I know it's a day focused on romantic love but I think it's a little about platonic love too. So, I sent you flowers and chocolate, cause I'm an awesome friend." He told me, his voice sounded a bit nervous and unsure.

I grinned, Xavier was an amazing person, and a wonderful friend. "Awee, thanks soo much. You have no idea how much I appreciate this Xavier! You're just amazing, and wonderful. You're one of the bestes friends I've ever had. From all the things you've done for me and just accepting me for who I am. Thank you, for everything Xav, but most of all thanks for being my friend." I exclaimed, my voice cracking with emotion towards the end. I really was truly grateful for all that Xavier had done for me, even if he was a bit awkward and blunt, I'd love him just the same.

Turning to look at the clock, I noticed it was already seven, just as I realized this the door bell rang. " Xav, i've got to go. I have a date, and don't worry I'll tell you all about it when I come back." I said.

"Ok, but before you go, Kels you truly are my best friend, even in the short amount of time we've known each other I've come to love you as my sister, and will do anything to protect you at all cost. Bye Kels, and you better!" He replied, then hung up.

The door bell rang agian, so I called out. "One second I'm on my way." After I finished my sentence Opened the door to see a confused and slightly frustrated Greg.

"Hey, sorry about the delay but I was on the phone with Xav. Let me put on my coat and I'll be right back." I told him, but before I left Noticed the two bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolate in his arms.

"Are those for me?" I asked, curious.

Greg cleared his throat, he had been staring at my outfit. "You look nice. .and I brought you these flowers, " He handed me the roses, but I couldn't help feel a bit upset, he didn't seem all that impressed with my outfit. I had worked so hard to put this look together. "But these I found at your front door." He handed me the forget-me-nots, my favorite flowers by the way, and the box of chocolate. He was also frowning at them.

Looking at the flowers, I saw a note that read 'From, Xavier' . "Oh, these ones must be the ones Xavier got me, thanks for your flowers they're beautiful." But not my favorite, I though to myself as I went to go place the flowers and chocolate on the table. Turning back and grabbing my coat and keys, I closed the door. "Let's go on this date shall we?" I said, before noticing that he was still frowning.

Finally after a couple moments of silence, he spoke. "Why did Xavier get you those flowers?" He asked me curiously and a bit suspiciously. "You guys arn't together, right?" He looked upset and a bit angry.

I shook my head frantically, "No, no. Nothing like that. He just sent them to me as friends, he already explained it to me when we were talking on the phone." I assured him.

He nodded, still looking a bit suspicious, but seemed to be letting it go. He gave me a small smile, "Let's get this date started?"

I grinned back at him, and nodded. "Let's get this party started!" I whooped, I could hear the sound of Greg's laughter as I walked towards the car.

This date is going to be awesome, I could feel it.
