Kelsey's POV

I was right about needing that relaxing day off.

After coming home from my first meeting with Tracey, the next day my phone blew up! It was bombarded with texts, updates, scheduleing, and much more.

"Tara," My sister had come back from her mysterious adventure, sometimes I think I should be a bit more concerned about her considering that she wasn't that old. But then I realize she's a grown adult (somewhat) and let it be. "I have to go to my audition, I'll be back around 4, maybe 4:30?"

I heard what sounded like a 'Okay' come from her room. Satisfied with her response I left when I noticed it was 3:15. I had 20 minutes to get there.

I locked the door and double checked to make sure it was actually locked before heading to the bus stop. I really need to get a car.

While I waited for the bus to get there I scrolled through my multiple social media news feeds. As I did this I couldnt help but notice I gained. . ."A couple thousand followers?!" I was shocked, how?

I didnt have much more time to think about it because the bus rolled in.

I walked into Star Records : Where talent becomes a star. That was a nice slogan, I suppose.

I entered the building looking around, I was a bit lost until I noticed the sign with an arrow that pointed down the hall. As I got closer I also noticed a note under the arrow.

If you are here for auditions for the new show Living & Loving Diana, please continue down this hall and make a left the door will be open.

Thank you.

"Well at least they know how to keep things organized. " I mumbled to myself as I followed the notes directions.

Once I reached the open door thats when the nerves hit me. What if I flopped and ruined my audition? What if they cut me cause I'm black? Hundreds of 'what if's' ran through my head, but then I realized that I just need to do me. Doubting my self won't help anyone but my compation, so I need to pull myself together.

After giving myelf that little pep talk I was ready to go. I entered the auditorium.

There were a lot people sitting in the chairs, there was one lady and her assistant I'm guessing was sitting next to her, on the stage. I wasn't late but I wasn't extremely early either. As I continued to enter the theater I notcied that there was a table with a bunch of scripts on it so I grabbed one and sat on the closest empty chair.

"Alright, it seems as though everyone is here. Lets begin." The lady on the stage said, she had black hair and ice cold blue eyes. I had a feeling she was going to be tough. "So, in the next 20 minutes I want you to fill out this form," Her assistant held up a piece of paper as she said that. "Then memorize a part that the character you're auditioning for says." After explaing it all she sat back down, but this time she sat in the first row chairs.

20 minutes passed and the lady stood up again. " Alright!" She clapped her hands, "I forgot to intorduce myself but I am Silva De Santos, yes I'm Brazilian. We will begin the auditions now, first up is. . .Andy Hike." She sat back down as Andy stood up and walked up to the stage.

He was a cutie Irish boy with redish hair and blue eyes. He was trying out for the position of Sam the main characters son. After a bunch of other people coming up and auditioning it was my turn.

"Kesley Jean-Baptist. " Silva called out my name from her seat. Taking a deep breath I stood up and mumbled to myself 'confidence is key, you've got this, your going to kill it.'

I walked onto the stage and introduced myself. "My name is Kelsey Jean-Baptist and I'm auditioning for the role of Diana."

Silva looked at me curiously for a second before she 'hmmed'. "Are you aware that this role is assigned for a Caucasian female. Not African American?" She asked.

I didn't miss a beat, I was suspecting she would ask this question. "Yes ma'am, I'm aware but you also said to bring something different to the table so I thought why not audition for a role that was meant for a Caucasian female and spice things up." I spoke with confidence and respect. I wasn't about to be rude in a situation like this.

Silva's eyes widened a little before she made a begin gesture with her hand.

-Start of Scene-

Diana: After all these years, you tell me about this now?

I spoke with deep emotion that this scene demanded.

....Everyone knew that you were leaving to college in New York. But you didn't think you could tell me?! Your best friend!

(Silva as Ron)

Ron: I didn't know how'd you react. And I knew you wouldn't like it, I just wanted to be closer with Julie.

Rolled her eyes. Diana: Julie? It's always about her, what about me? Huh? We've been friends since your were born and this is how you discard me?

Ron: Really? Don't act like this, we always fight. Julie is my girlfriend, she has an important place in my heart. Along with you, you have to understand that. Rubbing his forehead We'll talk about this tomorrow. Turns and leaves the stage.

Diana: But I love you. . .

-End of Scene-

Silva looked mildly impressed. I was glad with my performance, smiling. I spoke. "Thank you for considering me as an option." Silva nodded with a slight smile.

"Franchesca Glover." Sliva called.
