In The Spotlight

{ Chapter 1 }

Xavier POV

"Stop! Listen to what I'm saying, Xavier this could boost your popularity. So many people could discover you!" My manger, Tracy said.

She was trying to convince me to date Cameron Dollson. She was a well known singer/actress, she was also quite notorious for her late nights and party girl ways.

Sighing, I looked down at Tracy's small stature. "No, I will not go out with her." As Tracy opened her mouth to speak, I stopped her. "No, not even one date."

I glared at her, despite her innocent features she was like a little demon. Annoyed I walked away with my hands in my pockets, 'Gosh I need to get out of this business.'

I walked towards one of my favourite coffee shops, Delisuex. I've came here so often that the workers knew exactly what I wanted when I came in, I don't even have to go to the front desk anymore.

Of course this helped so I wouldn't get mobbed, but the likeliness of that happening is pretty low seeing as this place was filled with old people this early in the morning.

I sat in a booth that was secluded in a corner as I waited for my order. While I was waiting I noticed a young women, she looked around 19, maybe 20. When she walked in all eyes were on her, she seems to be used to it and basked in the attention.

She was very attractive, with her short black kinky curls reaching just her shoulders. Her smooth looking chocolate skin. She was dressed casually, in a pair of black skinny jeans and a purple top. Even in such plain attire she still looked breath taking.

As she ordered her drink, I couldn't help but notice the poise in her. She seemed very well put together, I couldn't take my eyes off of her.

While she ordered I stared at her, in a non creepy way of course. I only looked away when a worker came with my Chocolate Chip Muffin and a French Vanilla Cappuccino.

Smiling I thanked the worker, when I looked back to the front the girl was no longer there. I looked around trying to catch a glimpse of her.

After looking around the cafe for 5 minutes, I found her. She was sitting at a table on the other side of the cafe, in a secluded corner. I thanked God for that. No unwanted attention needed.

I had finished eating what I ordered, and looked up at the girl. She was on her phone. I started to stand up leaving my money and a tip on the table.

What am I about to do ? I couldn't help but ask myself as I started to walk in her direction.
