In The Spotlight

{ Chapter 13 }

Xavier POV

"I'm coming with you!" Greg shouted before he jumped onto my bed. "Sounds like a lot of fun, will Kesley be there?"

I had left Kesley's house about an hour ago. The party, or 'get together' as Kesley liked to call it, had been a blast. The most fun I had in a while.

I turned away from where I was standing in front of my closet, to look at Greg with one eyebrow raised. "Yeah, it was originally meant for us alone, but now you decided to come along." I replied sitting next to him.

Greg sat up with a sly grin and wiggled his eyebrows at me. "Alone?"

I just laughed, "Yeah, like you and your mom on the way to buy your tighty whites!" I called over my shoulder as I ran out the room.

"Hey! Don't bring that into this! " He ran after me, laughing too.

We met up with Kelsey and surprisingly Ayana at 4pm.

As I put the last suitcase in the trunk of my car I called out to everyone. "Alright, that's it. Ready everyone? "

A chorus of 'Yeah's' was my reply. So, I closed the trunk door and made my way to the drivers seat.

After a 2 hour drive, we had finally arrived. I pulled up to my medium sized cabin. It was made out of dark oak logs, with two large windows that allowed you to see inside. Surrounding the cabin was a foresty area, making it seem like you were secluded from the rest of the area, but in reality it was just a couple yards away.

"Alright, get out my car were here!" I shouted while pushing my car's honker.

Everyone else woke up with a surprised jolt. "Dude, why would you do that? " Greg mumbled still sounding groggy.

I just laughed evilly. I got out of the car to go and unpack the suitcases.

~2 and a half hours later~

Waka waka aye aye nam ni na eh eh waka waka aya aya

I stood at the grill watching the grill, the sound of Waka Waka by Shakira was playing in the background.

Everyone was just lounging around. Greg was drifting in the pool. While Kesley and Ayana sat on the beach chairs next to the pool reading magazines.

"Hmm, that smells so nice. " Kesley's voice drifted towards me. "When will this be done? I'm hungry!" She exclaimed, slightly groaning.

I just shook my head and laughed. "It will be down in a while, just wait."

All I heard was a sigh in reply. After 15 minutes the food was done. I called everyone over, "Foods done guys!"

I heard a collective whoop from them, "Finally." Kelsey said sounding relived.

We sat at the glass patio type of table as we enjoyed the burgers and hotdogs with a couple if grilled vegetables I made. We made small talk and conversation. I couldn't help but sight in content, this was the type of life I wanted to live. Being able to relax until my own back yard without having to worry about paparazzi snapping pictures of me, this was the life u want to life. Don't get me wrong I'm grateful for all I have, but after a while you miss the life you used to have. Or at least some aspects of it.

"Yo, man this is so good, where'd you learn to cook like this man?" Greg questioned me through a mouth full of food.

I cringed slightly, "First, eat then speak. Second, I've watched a lot of cooking shows." I replied shrugging my shoulders before taking a bite out of my burger. I groaned at the taste, not to sound cocky but i sure can cook.

"Ohh! After this we should go fo a walk, I heard about this cool place in town." Ayana spoke. "It's a nature themed cafe/ outdoor movie theater."

Kelsey nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that sounds fun. When does it start?" She question, turning to look at Ayana.

They both continued on their conversation, as me and Greg sat in silence eating our food.

"Ok boys," Kesley clapped her hands together, catching our attention. "Finish eating cause after this we're going to have some wicked fun!" She squealed.

Me and Greg gave each other funny looks before turning back to Kelsey. "OK." We both replied, mouths full of food.

Kesley scrunched up her nose. "Ew, you guys are gross."

We just laughed at her. Party here we come.

A/N: alright guys the long awaited update is finally here, Yasss I know it's not very entertaining but I swear next chapter things will SPICE UPP lool but anyway I hope you enjoyed the last few chill chapter's get ready for a bucket load of drama guys.
