Xavier's POV

I sat in the dining room of my old home. The decorations have since changed since I was last here.

From my left came a grunt, I looked to see my dad with a grumpy expression on his face. "You still doin that acting garbage?" He grumbled.

I rolled my eyes internally before nodding my head yes. In reply my father just grunted before taking another swing of his beer.

It was awkward sitting here after all the hate and anger I left here, it felt weird to even be in this house.

"Xavier, are you mad at me?" My brothers voice tinidly asked, he was looking down at the dinning room table.

I reached my hand to grip his shoulder. "No, why would you say that?" I asked him, wondering what made him think that.

Xander looked at our father who was focused on watching the football game that was on. After making sure that our father wasn't paying attention, he leaned in and whispered. "Because I brought you back to the one place you hate."

My heart almost broke from the sadness that was in my brothers eyes. I loved him so much that it almost physically hurt me to hurt him.

Accidentally or on purpose.

"Oh no, I'm not mad at you for that! I'm not mad at you period, its bound to happen lil bro, I know how unsupportive dad is about my acting." I assured him while mentally adding, its why he kicked me out.

Xander looked a bit unsure, but nodded anyway. We were only sitting there for another five minuted before my mother came in. Unlike my father my mother didn't mind my acting, she was supportive of everything I did. She just didn't have a very strong backbone.

"Hi, darling. How've you been?" My mother sat next to me, smiling softly. She still smelt the same, like baby powder and lavender.

Even though my mom was more neutral in this situation, I couldn't help but be a bit cold with her. How would you feel if your parents kicked you out for something so irrelevant.

"I've been fine mother, how about you?" I replied stiffly.

My mothers smiled dimmed, just a little. "I missed you." She sighed looking down at her hands sadly. "Oh, Xavier I heard all about your success, I wish I was there with you but I know you don't really care for me now. Especially how I treated you 5 years ago." She had a sad smile on her face, she looked at me begging to be forgiven.

"I know mother, I understand how you felt but I don't understand how you could have just thrown me out because of one silly thing. But I'm willing to move on if you are," I grabbed my mothers hand and squeezed it gently. "Its not going to be the same but I'll try."

My mother looked happier than she was a few minutes ago. "Oh baby, thank you so much!" She reached over and hugged me tight, I chuckled as she did. "I love you, baby."

I smiled softly, wrapping my mom in my arms to return her hug. "I love you too, ma." I replied.

"What 're you two doin' ?" My father slurred slightly, I looked up to see him still with a beer in hand but this time there were several entry bottle surrounding him.

I looked at my watch, it had only been 5 years and 35 minutes and my dad still had the same drinking problem.

I sighed before letting go of my mother and turning to my father. "Nothing, we were just talking." I replied.

My father glared at us before standing unsteadily to his feet, swaying slightly as he walked towards the dining table where we sat. "It an't look like no'tin boy, don' come in 'ere and espect us to welcome yous and yo's kind in wit' open arms." My father looked livid. His face was red and his forehead had started to shine with sweat.

I looked worriedly at my brother and mother and stubly gestured them to walk away from here. They got the hint and silently left the table, but not without shooting me worried looks. In return I gave them a small smile.

Looking back to my father I replied. "I came here to see Xander, thats it. Not here to see you, seeing mom is nice but I dont care much for you." As I continued to speak my father looked angrier and angrier by the second. "I know this is your house, and I apologize for disrespecting you here but you need to calm down and get over this issue you have with me."

My father glared and didn't do anything but grumble and stumble to his chair. Once he sat down he said something I would have never expected. " 'M sorry, son. You's making good money, I an't got to be rude to ya. 'Specially of sometin' so stupid."

I was slightly shocked, my father hardly apologized to people. Ever.

Still slightly in shock I nodded my head in acknowledgement. "Alright dad. Alright."
