In The Spotlight

{ Chapter 4 }

Kesley's POV

"Wake up!" I heard someone yell, waking me up from a beautiful sleep.

"Nooo, leave me alone, Tara." I groaned, my sister was an early bird. I was clearly not.

"But you have to go and meet Xavier France in, like, 30 minutes." Tara said, while she sat on my back.

I groaned, "Well I can't get ready with you on my back, Tara." I struggled a bit before throwing her off my back.

I stretched my hands over my head, and stood up. I walked into the bathroom and got ready for the day.

"Ohh, you look nice!' Tara said as I walked into the kitchen, I laughed.

"Thank you, I do try." I replied, today I was dressed a bit more professional, in a black blazer with my favourite pair of black skinny jeans and a red blouse.

I sat at the table and ate breakfast before looking at the time. "It's almost 1pm, I have to go!"

I hurried out if the kitchen and out the door, "Bye , see you later!" I called out to Tara. I walked out my apartment and took a bus to Star Records.

Fame here I come. Hopefully.

Finally, after the bus ride over, I was there. As I walked towards the building, I couldn't help but be in awe, it was huge.

I entered the building, and was amazed at how beautiful it was, the lobby - which was huge- was decorated in white and gold. The front desk was white marble with a gold accents. There where couches on either side of the lobby both gold, sitting on one of those couches was the one and only, Xavier France.

He was to busy typing away on his phone to notice me, so I walked towards him and poked him.

His head snapped up, he had and irritated expression until he noticed it was me. "Hey! You made it!" He seemed excited when he saw me, his eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store.

"Yeah, so what am I supposed to do exactly?" I asked him, because even though he had explained it all, I really didn't understand much.

He shook his head, "Don't worry about all that, Tracey will explain it to you once she gets here."

We sat in the lobby for 20 minutes before a gorgeous short blonde walked in. She looked rushed, but at the same time she looked like she just came back from a spa day.

If that made any sense.

"Xavier, sorry for being late." She quickly walked towards me and Xavier, she sounded very nice.

Xavier put his phone away and stood up and pulled her in for a hug, "Don't worry, I'm used to it by now." He chuckled before turning around to where I was standing.

"This is Kesley Jean-Baptist, your future star!" Xavier exclaimed.

I reached my hand out and introduced myself, "Hi, nice to meet you." I gave her my billion dollar smile.

She looked at me curiously. "Nice to meet you too, let's go upstairs and discus this matter further." She smiled and started to walk towards the elevator.

I looked at Xavier and grinned, "I think she likes me." He laughed.

"I think she likes you too." With that we both followed her to the elevator.
