"Somebody really shot this boy and he just sittin in here acting like this shits normal" Ari ranted as we talked on the phone. I was in the bed laying beside Benji who was still knocked out
"Trust me, you get used to it after a while Ari. These niggas don't care at all about shit either. You'd think it was a lil scratch to them"
"And Meechie thought it was so funny cause I'm freakin the hell out. Ima beat his ass when he come over here later"
"I'm surprised he ain stay the night at your place last night"
"He left early this morning but he said he was coming back. I hope he went and got his arm done by a PROFESSIONAL"
"I highly doubt it" I laughed "you coming over here later with him"
"I was planning on it"
"Okay. Well ima let you know in advance that MJ is supposed to be coming"
"Oh, okay. That's cool"
"I just wanted to let you know cause ion want you to feel awkward about nothing"
"Well he told me they were cool and I mean, they run in the same circle so eventually we'll be around each other. But I'm good on my end"
"See, I love you" I told Ari while smiling, looking down at Benji and Ari laughed
"Well I'm glad.... I'll talk to you later when I see you. I'm bout to get up and get my day started"
"Yeah I need to do the same thing. I'll see you later"
"Okay" she said before hanging up. I sat my phone down and looked at Benji who was still sleep
The way he slept so peacefully with his lips slightly parted, facing me.... it was so adorable. Too bad I had to wake him up though
"Benji!" I yelled, slapping him upside the head twice causing him to sit his head up, glaring at me
"The hell you want kay?"
"A shootout? In American Deli parking lot?"
He laid his head back down laughing "ion know Whatchu talkin bout" he responded in a raspy voice
"Well since you apparently don't know about a shootout that just so happened at the exact same place you was at, the exact same time you was there... the news said one person died and three were injured"
"Oh forreal?"
I sucked my teeth and he wrapped his arm around me "lay back down"
"Ion wanna lay down right now. Answer my question"
"You ain technically ask a question"
I looked Benji right in his face and he sighed
"What happened? Cause last I remember you was done with the streets and I KNOW something had to happen cause you been doing good so far"
"Lay down" he simply repeated and I eventually gave in, laying back down facing him while he kept his arm around me
"You know I love you"
"I love you too Dimitri. But again, that's not answering anything"
"I did answer yo question. I love you"
