'Don't think about it too much Harry, I'm pretty sure professor Dumbledore could handle it. With him around, we're safe.'

Those were the last words he heard from Hermione, a couple of hours ago.

Everything happened so quickly.

Harry was now hidden in some rare place in the castle, the only thing he could hear was the sound of his own heavy breathing under his invisibility cloak as the silence stretched on.

They were here.

They had entered.

They're currently roaming around inside the walls of Hogwarts.

The death eaters.

Everything occurred in a blink of an eye.

The last thing he knew had happened was that Professor Slughorn had ordered him, Ron, and Hermione to get to a safe place as fast as possible.

All his friends were probably fighting for their lives and their school right now, while he was just standing there like a fool.

His admittedly useless nonverbal spells had decided not to work for him just at that desired moment due to some hex that one of the death eaters had cursed him with. So there he was, standing frozen underneath the staircase of the Astronomy Tower.

While he was there, he witnessed Malfoy and Dumbledore having a lovely chat about Malfoy's devious plan to kill him.

Unlike the one time when Harry had eavesdropped into one of Draco's conversations with Snape, their voices were pretty clear that he could overhear what they were saying this time.

Draco had his wand out pointing at Albus, who was so weak he could barely cast a Petrificus Totalus. Even more devastating was that Malfoy was full out sobbing, like he didn't want to do this.

The sound of Dumbledore's soft but firm voice pulled Harry from his wandering stare.
"Come over to the right side Draco, and we can hide you... You would be safe."

Malfoy's arm shakingly remained uplifted, he was glancing at every single place around him, as if someone was coming. Then he would turn his gaze back at the headmaster before him.
His bottom lip was still quivering, furrowing his eyebrows as he held back his tears.

The expression on his face looked like he was actually considering the suggestion. He was sweating profusely, his face pale and his breathing coming quick as if he was having a nervous breakdown.

"How can I trust you? How do I know you're not going to shove us into Azkaban any chance you got? Malfoy sneered at Dumbledore, but Harry could see the barely hidden hope in his eyes.

"I assure you I am not lying." Dumbledore spoke calmly then continued. "Draco, years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you."

"I don't want your help," He sobbed through gritted teeth. "Don't you understand, I have to do this... I have to kill you... Or he's gonna kill me."

Albus remained quiet. His eyes fluttering as he opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out.

Harry knew the headmaster was tired and needed help. If only he could figure out a way to get out of this stupid curse....

He shifted closer, in attempt to listen clearer. Unfortunately, he took a wrong step by accident. He stamped on the cloak beside his foot, causing it to slightly slip. He was perceptible enough to professor Dumbledore, but he wasn't sure if he was visible to Malfoy... or wasn't yet.

Draco, after hearing a loud crash from beneath due to Harry's clumsiness, quickly put his wand down and stared at Dumbledore.
"Finite Incantatem!" Dumbledore spoke, his voice trembling quite alarmingly.

Harry directly moved into action, moving to grab Dumbledore and probably hex Malfoy before he could do anything dangerous.
But the headmaster however, had other plans.

"Harry please, listen to me. You must take Draco. You have to get yourselves out of here. Please don't worry about me." He pleaded.

Harry opened his mouth to object, firmly set on escaping with Dumbledore who seemed to have different plans though. His eyes had a stern glint to them mixed with a bit of sadness.

Harry remembered the agreement he made with Albus. He had told Harry to do everything he said. Harry of course had accepted in the eagerness to go Horcrux hunting with him but now he was regretting it.

The sound of loud footsteps near them made Malfoy startle, but he stayed where he was, staring at Potter and Dumbledore.

Harry knew they were close, they were coming, but there was no way he was leaving without Dumbledore.

The only father figure he had left in his life. The only one who didn't act like he was some sort of hero who would swing along and save the world. Harry wasn't letting go because he knew if he did, he would never see Dumbledore again.

"Please Harry. Take Draco. Leave. I'm begging you." He spoke in a voice barely above a whisper.

Harry's eyes filled with tears. He looked back at Malfoy whose pale face stood out like the pearly moon against the gloomy dark glint of the night sky.

Another short chapter lol.
And sorry if things just happened so quickly, I just had to get on with the story and end this Voldemort drama so that we could hop on some actual Drarry stuff ;)
