*THE NEXT DAY*
August 22nd, 1985.
1:25PM.

"Y/N HURRY YOURSELF UP!! WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!!" Max shouts as she waits at the front door for me. "IM COMING, GIVE ME TWO MINUTES!!" I reply, struggling to put my bra on.

Today I decided to go with something super cute, something I would consider dressing up. I want Will's last memory of me to be something special, and I definitely don't want to look like a roach in it.

I pulled out my favorite ever jean jacket that I got for my birthday, along with a multicolored short skirt and a cropped turtleneck Tanktop.

I put on white converses as shoes, something simple. And along with that, a necklace that Billy gave me for my eighth birthday.

I look in my body length mirror, intertwining the necklace between my fingers. I look down at it, remembering the exact moments Billy gave it to me.

*FLASHBACK*

"Wait wait theres one more gift!!" Mom exclaims as she holds her hands up, stopping everyone from taking down the decorations from my party.

"What is it mommy?!" I ask, determined to see what this gift is. "It's from me." Billy states as he comes out of the kitchen corner with a little sized box, walking towards me.

"But Billyyy, you already got me a soccer ball and a tiara!!" I groan, not liking when people spend to much money on me.

"This is what I've been saving up for, doing extra chores and taking extra shifts. Then, mom and dad lended me a good bit. Thank you both, again." Billy smiles as he gives me the tiny box wrapped in "Happy Birthday" silver and gold wrapping paper.

I step on my tippy toes and kiss my brother on the cheek, thanking him before I even opened it. I could tell Billy put a lot of thought into this gift, because he's making such a big deal out of it.

I rip open the wrapping paper, not even knowing that there's something fragile in the box. My parents and brother laugh at how determined I am, wanting to know what's inside.
