Cora's POV

Today was Remus's birthday!

He was hosting a small party at his house so Fred and I decided to go, even though I was currently nine months pregnant, but I really didn't want to miss out on Remus's birthday.

"Darling, are you sure you want to go? I don't mind if we have to stay home for this one." Fred says, as we arrive at Remus's house.

"Fred, I'll be fine." I reply, giving him a quick peck on his lips.

He smiles and nods.

"Ok then. But promise me, any pain or any discomfort...tell me."

I roll my eyes and smile.

"I will..."

He takes my hand and we walk towards the door and Fred knocks on. The door opens and Tonks is stood there.

"Hey you two!" She says, giving us both a hug. "Come on in!"

She leads us inside where I see Remus talking to Sirius. He notices me and smiles.

"There's my little cub." He says, walking over and kissing my head. "How are you?"

I giggle.

"I'm good, thank you."

"Good, good! Any pains recently?"

I shake my head.

"None unfortunately. She's taking her time."

Remus chuckles.

"You was exactly the same when you were born."

"Really?" I ask.

He nods.

"A week late you was." Sirius says, chuckling.

My eyes widen.

"Well, she better get a move on because a week of this? No thank you."

Remus chuckles and places his hand on my back.

"Go sit down in the garden, cub. Harry and everybody are there."

I nod and I walk into the garden to see everyone sat around a table. They see me and cheer.

"There she is!" Molly says, smiling at me. "Still managing looking gorgeous at nine months!"

I giggle and made my way over.

"Hello." I say.

Harry stands up and helps me sit down.

"Thanks, Harry." I say.

He smiles and sits besides me.

"How have you been feeling?" Hermione asked me.

I shrug my shoulders.

"The same. Tired and sore."

Everyone chuckles.

"How late is she?" Ron asked.

"Four days..."

"Oh my..." Molly says. "Have you tried everything?"

I nodded.

"Everything that I could think of. Eating pineapples, exercise...nothing worked."

"I'm sure she'll come when she's ready." Harry says, rubbing my hand.

I smile at him.

"I hope so. I'm getting impatient."

"Rest up while you can, dear." Molly says. "You'll take sleep for granted when she arrives."
