Chapter 29: Trip

Vanessa POV:

It's been a few weeks since I found out who Alex is, and the boys and I have been trying our best to act normal around him. I'm still waiting for Luca to give me good new but still nothing. And it's honestly killing me, I'm not sure if me and my family are safe anywhere. Luca said he was going to protect us and so far, he is keeping his promise, the house next to mine was recently rented by a few of his Mafia members so they can keep an eye on my family while I'm gone and a new guy from the Mafia became our new teacher, so they are also keeping an eye on me while I'm at school.

"Nessa!" Shouted Daniel bringing me out of my deep thoughts.

"Anything from Luca?" Tyler whispered

"No, not yet" I confessed "should I maybe go back and ask him in person?" I asked

"I mean, waiting for his phone call is killing me, but it's also not save. What if the Venom follow you?" Tyler explained.

"What if they don't? I'll never know if I don't try" I replied

Tyler took a deep breath, looking annoyed and replied "Fine but I'm coming with and I don't care what you say"

"It's dan-" I was about to say

"No, Nessa I said I don't want to hear excuses. I'm going and that's it!" he said

I looked over at Daniel hoping he would help me convince Tyler not to go but Daniel said nothing.

"Danny?" I said.

"He's right V, sorry. I would come too but Coach would kill me if both Tyler and I don't show up. Tyler take care of Vanessa and stop looking at her in that weird way!" Daniel explained and then walked away leaving Tyler and I by ourselves

What weird way?

"Lets go?" he asked.

"What does he mean weird way?" I curiously asked Tyler.

"I honestly don't even know" he answered.

"okay" I said walking towards the parking lot.

We got in the car and drove away to the Scorpions save house where I was sure Luca was. The save house is outside the town I used to live, so this trip was going to be long.

"So, Tyler how's Tessa?" I asked

"she's still not awake. But the doctors say she is good" he answered

"That's great. I mean not that she isn't awake but that the doctors said she's good" I said nervously

"I know what you meant V" Tyler replied laughing

"What are you laughing at?" I asked.

"At your reaction" he replied still laughing

He's laugh is so cute

"So, how do you and Luca know each other?" Tyler curiously asked

"Well, we basically grew up together. His dad would come over all the time for business so he would come along." I replied

"Why does Daniel hate him so much?" he asked

"Oh, because Luca and I dated and let's just say he wasn't the best boyfriend" I answered.

"Did he hurt you?" Tyler suddenly asked.

"Not physically but emotionally and mentally" I answered.

Don't get me wrong, I personally think that being hurt emotionally and mentally hurts more than Physically. Physical scares can go away but mental will never go away. Those scares will always follow you wherever you go.

"That son of a-"

"Tyler, dont worry. We are good now and we sort of need him so don't do anything" I replied laughing a bit

"Okay. Why are you laughing?" he asked frustrated.

"Nothing" I said trying not to laugh

"Take the next left". I said. Tyler took the next left and drove down the road.

"The house is hidden behind those trees. Park the car here and we can walk there" I said. Tyler did as he was told and we walked to the woods. Infront of us stood the old house

"This house looks abandoned. Couldn't they find another house?" Tyler commented.

I ignored his comment and knocked at the door. After a few seconds the same security guard opened the door.

"Who's he?" the security asked

"A friend" I replied walking past him

Tyler POV:

I followed her. The house was empty inside. I was expecting people with guns and all of that, but I guess I was wrong. I followed Nessa down the corridor. She stopped in front of a door and took a deep breath. She knocked and waited for permission to come in. she opened the door and walked in, I followed behind.

"Luca!" I said

"Vanessa?" he said.

"And who is this?" he asked looking at me.

"Tyler" she replied walking toward Lucas table where he was sitting with a drink in his hand. I followed Nessa and set next to her. I had a good look at Luca, I just wanted to punch him for hurting Vanessa, but I knew I couldnt because she needs him.

Luca was tall and muscular. He had pitch black hair and dark brown eyes. he was wearing a dark blue suit and hes dark hair was gelled back.

"Vanessa Smith how can I help you?" he asked taking a sip of his drink

"I still haven't gotten any news from you" Vanessa explained.

"I have taken all the prove we have to my friend who works at the FBI, he informed me that they are trying their best to find Vladimir, but they havent gotten very far. He said that as soon as they have anything they will let me know" he answered

"So, what now. We just do nothing again?" she asked

"Yeah, all we can do now is wait for his call. And you need to keep an eye on Alex for us" he said

"We are" she answered.

"Good, let me know if you find anything and I shall do the same for you. Now if you excuse me I have somewhere to be" he replied getting up and walking out of his office leaving Vanessa and I alone

I hate this Luca guy
