Chapter 43:The Case

Vanessa's POV:

"Vanessa, your going to be late for school!" Yelled my aunt

shit

I was up till late with the boys and now I overslept. I get up as fast as I got and rushed to the bathroom and got myself ready. I put my hair into a messy bun and sprint down the stairs as fast as Usain Bolt rans his 100m.

"Bye!" I yelled running out the door not waiting for a response.I get on my beautiful motorcycle and sped to school. Just on time

"Good morning babe" Tyler said from besides me

I groan "Morning"

"What's wrong?" he said worried

"I couldn't sleep last night and woke up late" I explained

"I see" he said

"Where's Tessa?" I asked

"Probably with Cole" he replied sounding annoyed

I sit up on my chair and look at him

"Tyler, it's ok to talk about it" I said

"I just- I don't want her to get hurt, and know that Alex isn't as dead as we thought he was I'm scared what will happen to her. I mean we wont go up to her and be like oh yeah Tessa your ex-boyfriend who ended up sending you to hospital and who was supposed to be dead and buried 6 feet underground is now alive and walking around doing who knows what" he complained

"I mean, you got a point but like she missed out on a whole year of her teenage life, she need to make the best out of the last few. Soon she will be a grown up and will have responsibilities and she will look back and realise she barely enjoyed her teenage years because she was afraid to move on. She need to enjoy this moment while it lasts. Life is short" I explained

"Good morning class. open your book on page 56" ordered the teacher

"Vanessa!" I heard my name being called

"Tessa!" I cheered when I saw my favourite and only female friend running toward me at the cafeteria.

"We need a girls night, I'm tired of always being with the boys" she said loud enough so the boys could hear

"Let's go girls" joked Mason

"My house?" asked Cole

"Girls night. no boys, no brothers and definitely no boyfriends" explained Tessa

"alright, boys we need a guys night out. just like the old days only us guys" Michael said

"What are you going to do? watch the note book?" Joked Tessa

"No we are going to watch some intense horror movies!" explained Tyler

"Yeah right, you are a bunch of pussies you cant even watch How To Get Away With Murder with me" I replied

"The women is helping her student get away with murder of her own husband? how is that alright?" complained Daniel

"Annalise is a Real Queen. she is only doing what she things is right. I mean if I ever murder someone you guys better help me get rid of the damn body and you better protect me or you will be next. I've learned some tips from Annalise" I explained

"Girl, I'll be there" Tessa laughed

"I'm in charge of digging the hole" The Twin spoke at the exact same time

"Creepy" Tessa and I both said

"That even creepier, you guys aren't ever related" Cole joked

I love this...

The rest of the day went by faster than I expected. practice was cancelled today so I just set with Tessa and watched the boys practice.

"So, Tessa... you and Cole huh?" I teased

"Shsh don't be so loud" she worried

"Do you like him?" I wondered

"I don't know- I mean I do, but I don't think he does" she confessed

"He definitely does, even Tyler noticed it" I replied

"What no! What did he say?" she asked

"Well he was worried but I guess he is fine. Daniel and I talked to him a few times" I explained

"Daniel noticed too? OMG" she groan

"Everyone did, and let me just say we all ship you... Girl make the first move" I said

"Noo, I'm a chicken I can't" she replied

"Okay if you say so. I hope he makes a move soon. You two would make an adorable couple" I confessed

"All done boys?" I asked as soon as I saw the boys walking toward us

"Yeah" they replied. After the boys got their things ready we all walked to the parking lot together and everyone went their separate ways

"Aunt Lucy I'm home!" I yelled while shutting the door behind me

"Vanessa, just on time-" she said

"What's wrong?" i wondered

"I just got off the phone and they finally updated me on your fathers case. they want me to have solid proves that he is innocent and if I have enough proves he will be out by next month if not earlier" she announced

"wow, aunt Lucy that is amazing, Thank you so much" I cheered hugging her tightly

"Now this is where you come in, I need you to ask Luca for the hard drive back. those can be the solid proves that someone else threaten your father-" she explained

"I can't, I mean at least not for now. I promise I'll get it as soon as possible" I explained

"What do you mean you can't, Vanessa this is the only way we can get your father out. Don't you want him to finally be free?" she asked confused

"Of course I want him to be free, but Vladimir is still out there and if dad comes out he will take matters into his own hands. He doesn't want to see us happy meaning he is willing to do whatever to destroy our family even if it means taking dad down. Luca has a plan, we need to trust him. as soon as he is done than we can get dad out" I tried to explain

"What do you mean Luca has a plan. Are you involved?" she asked in disbelieve

"He has a plan, I can't tell you more than that because we know what happened last time I involved you. we just need to trust him and yes I am involved and I do agree with his plan" I explained

"Are you out of your mind? You can get seriously hurt doing this. I will not let you do this" She yelled

"So be it, let me get hurt but I will not let that man get away with what he did to my mother and i most definitely wont let him tear the rest of my family apart" I said

"What about Emily, if you get hurt she will lose the only family she has left. if something happens to you, not only Emily and I will lose the only family we have left but I also wont be able to get your father out because I wont have solid evidence and Emily... she will loose it. Think about it Vanessa!" she explained

"Nothing will happen to me. And if I just stand here and do nothing the second dad leaves that prison I can assure you our lives will be miserable. We will be forced to ran and to disappear just so Vladimir doesn't come after us and when he does then it will be the end of the Smith Family" I explained than walked upstairs to my room
