Third Person's POV

It was past midnight now and the Dark Ghosts along with the boys were rushing into the hospital in search of their friend. Even Alec and Bianca, who had just come back from their trip the previous day.

After Audrey had hung up, she immediately went to wake the others up. The ones who weren't sleeping were confused by Audrey's sudden outburst, and the ones who were, woke up startled by all the sounds. But when she told them what was going on, they all rushed out of the penthouse.

All the boys were worried about her. Josh, for example, didn't even bother to get changed and he went to the hospital on his pijamas.

And the girls were no different, they were even worse. They were all fuming. You could even see a small glare on Melanie's face, which was a very rare sight. They didn't even know what had happened, but they had a feeling that someone else was involved. And they were going to make everyone responsible pay.

"How is she?" Bianca asked as soon as she spotted Hunter, who still had Maddie's blood on his clothes.

He stood up from his seat when he heard Bianca's question and the group walked over to him.

"I still don't know anything. Once I brought her here, they quickly rushed her in and told me they'll keep me updated," Hunter grumbled.

"But she will be ok, right? Is it too serious? What exactly happened?" Audrey rambled until she got cut off by Hunter placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, calm down. I'm sure she'll be fine, she is a fighter," he reassured her.

"This is because of the fighting, isn't it? See? I told you not to go, that you could get hurt! You promised me you wouldn't, but look at your surroundings and tell me, where are we!?" Josh screamed in frustration.

He hated seeing those he cared for hurt, and even though he wasn't at fault, he couldn't help but feel guilty. He thought that maybe he could have done more to prevent this, to keep them from going there.

"How were we supposed to know, Josh? Maddie has never lost a fucking fight, or at least I haven't seen her lose one. But tonight she wasn't being herself. It was like she was out of it!" Hunter yelled back at Josh. He was also getting frustrated by the situation.

"Yes, but—."

"Enough!" Alec's powerful voice boomed, making them both shut up instantly.

"Why was Maddie like that? Did she show any signs that something was wrong?" Sadie asked in suspicion.

"No! Everything was alright until she got into the ring. Then she saw her opponent and it was like her mood switched! The dude wasn't even that scary!" Hunter replied, getting angrier by the second. That response though perked the girls interest.

"Who was her opponent?" Bianca asked.

"I don't know. Some man in his fifties. Tall, black, grayish hair, dark eyes," Hunter didn't really stop to observe him, but he tried to describe him the best he could.

The girls all shared a look. They had their suspicions on who it could be. They just had to wait until Maddie was better to find answers to their questions, she was the only one who could give them.

"Madison Bell?" a doctor called out.

"Here," Bianca spoke up and everyone rushed over to him.

The doctor looked a bit intimidated. He had recognized Alec and he perfectly knew who he was, but he still tried to keep his composure.

"Well, um, she has just been moved to a room. She had several bruises, most of them caused by a physical fight. Her ribs are slightly bruised but luckily not broken. She will have to ice them when she wakes up. Now, what worries me. She had a severe injury in the head and she lost so much blood, which was what caused her to faint. We managed to stop the bleeding, but we will have to keep her monitored through the night to make sure there isn't any internal bleeding. She has a mild concussion too and will have to stay in bed rest for some days. The rest of her injuries aren't too serious, they should all heal in a matter of days," the doctor explained.
