Catching Up

The next morning Robin was fully awake and the pain had died down a bit. Clint had  stayed with her all morning and got her all up to date on what has happened the last eight months she was gone.

"how is Jason?" she asked sweetly.

"he good. A little scratch up but good, he's been hanging out with Peitro and Wanda most of the time" Clint smiled.

"he came in almost every thirty minutes to ask if you were okay" Robin smiled. She did miss seeing his face already and it warmed her heart at the fact how much her and Jason had grown close to each other in such a short period of time.

"how the other Jason? My dog" Clint's heart sunk not ready to tell her.

"h-he uh.. got loose like two months after you left... I don't know how he got out but he came back a couple months later with something that made him sick" Robin eyes watered and she quickly nodded.

Clint quickly slid into the bed with her and carefully wrapped his arms around her trying not to bump any of her injuries. "I'm sorry baby, I now how important he was too you.... I'm sorry I let I'm get loose"

"it's not your fault.. He was a wonderer" she told him and rested her head on his shoulder.

Clint then tried to hold her hand but she quickly jerked back and moved her head off his shoulder. As weak as she felt she also felt she wasn't in control of her powers.

"what's wrong?" he asked softly.

"I'm not hurting you, am I?" she asked.

Clint quickly shook his head then laced his finger with hers hold her hand. "no, why?"

"I don't know I just don't feel in control of my powers... Ya know"

Clint quickly kissed her cheek. "your not hurting me... Okay?"

He looked down at their hands and smiled. "ya know your kinda like a Phoenix" he chucked.

The corners of Robin's lips tugged into a smile. As she placed her head back on his shoulder. "really?"

"yeah.. The Hawk and the Phoenix" he smirked. "has a nice ring to it"

Robin rolled her eyes as he opened his mouth again.

"umm you want to meet your niece?" Clint asked. Robin lifted her head in confusion. Clint slight smiled and nodded. "I'll be back" he jumped off the bed then moved to the door.

"don't go no where" he teased then left. Soon he came back with Nat and Bruce. Natasha came in first with a tiny baby wrapped up in a charcoal colored blanket. Robin's heart melted as Nat quietly came over to Robin.

"Robin this is your niece Rebecca" Bruce smiled as Natasha gently handed Robin the baby to hold her.

"mom's name" she smiled softly. Bruce came and sat by his sister and smiled at the two. "she's got your eye's Bruce"

"I was only gone seven months" Robin laughed.

Nat's kind expression turned into a hurt and serious face. "Nat was two months pregnant when you left... I'm sorry we didn't tell you" Bruce cut in.

"it's okay I understand" Robin looked down and a smile immediately turned back up. "me and Clint are going be the best aunt and uncle and let you do stuff your mom and dad don't let you" Clint laughed at the comment and shook his head agreeing.

"we don't need Clint teaching my daughter his rebellious ways" nat said raising an eyebrow at Clint.

"your so cute" Robin whispered then let out a heavy young.

"you should probably get some more rest" Clint added as he gently picked up the child and laid her softly in Nat's arms.

"I better be the first one to babysit" Robin calls out as Nat was leaving the room.

"get some rest" Bruce said kissing the top of Robin's head before leaving.

Robin slowly scooted over to one side of the bed and patted the empty spot for Clint to climb in next to her. "your staying right?"

Clint smirked and crawled in next to her and carefully wrapped his arms around her trying not to hit any of her injuries. "I Love You Angle" he said before he rest his head on her shoulder falling immediately falling asleep. Robin reached up and laced her fingers through his hair that was now cut and styled into a Mohawk. She she slowly drifted off as she played with his hair.
