Chapter 40

"What," Mary said. "I'm leaving mom," Casey said tears falling down her face. "No Casey you can't please." Mary held out her hand weakly. "I can mom and I will, I am. I'll be better off with Phillip then here...with you." Casey spat. Mary started crying. "Please Casey don't go." She cried. Casey looked at her mother. And turned around to walk away then stopped. "I won't go," Casey said. Mary eyes looked up at Casey and smiled a little bit. "If you tell me you hate joe." Mary's eyes widened. "If you tel me you despise joe for what he did to you! For him beating you! And cheating on you!" Casey was sobbing her face was covered in tears as well as Marys's "Tell me mom tell me if you had then chance to leave you would've told me! Please mom tell me! I'll stay if you tell me!" Casey cried.

Casey didn't want to leave she didn't want to love  Philip she knew it was wrong but she was confused about her feelings and all she needed was for her mom to tell her the right thing. Tell her, her worth and that she was better than him. That she should leave him and never speak to him
Again. That's all she wanted. But first, she needed to see her mom do that with herself first. Mary sat on the floor looking up at Casey crying. "I...I...I can't" Mary said defeated. Casey's eyes had a little disappointment in them but overall she wasn't surprised. "You know I never agreed with him on a lot of things but one thing I can agree with him is that you are weak," Casey said. Mary's eyes widened.

"And I despise you just as I despise joe. I hate you. So with that." Casey turned around again. "Goodbye, Mary." Casey left and closed the door. Mary put her hands on her face and wept loudly. How was Mary supposed to teach her daughter something she was never taught?
"You clean for a man you cook for a man and you take care of him. You need to be the best wife a man could ever have! You do whatever it takes! And if he is unfaithful it means what?" Her teacher shouted. "You're not good enough and you keep trying!" Mary shouted. "Good now clean this kitchen up!" The women spoke. "Yes ms. Sheldon!"
She was just a poor orphan she didn't have anything. Joe was all she ever had...

Casey zipped her suitcase wiping tears off her face she picked her suitcase up and held it on the side of her body. And opened the window. Just then a voice was heard. "Where are you going?" Wesley stood in the doorway. Casey swallowed and a tear fell she was hoping she didn't have to face her little brother and just write a note. "Wesley I'm... I'm leaving with Phillip.. don't..don't try to stop me.. mom already tried and-"  Wesley stood there and looked at her. "Casey-." A whisper from him. "Goodbye Casey ...I'll miss you," Wesley said with his head down.

"I have one question, Wesley." Casey cried. "What is it?" Wesley stood there. Casey turned around to face Wesley. "Why didn't you do anything when Philip was on top of me?" Casey said more tears coming down. Wesley's eyes widened at the state of his sister. Wesley doesn't think he has ever seen her like this. "I thought you liked it," Wesley answered. Casey smiled to herself. "Yea." She turned back around and opened the window and through her suitcase on the ground. Then she paused. And rushed over to Wesley and took his hand.

"Listen to me, Wesley...I love you" she said crying a lot Wesley's eyes widened and her mouth hung open. "I love you so much! Don't you ever forget it! I'm so sorry I never showed it to you. I'm sorry I wasn't a good sister to you! I'm sorry! I hope you can forgive me!" She cried. Wesley stared at his sister's face. Casey held his face in her hands "I...I forgive you." He said."You grow up and you find a woman who loves you so much and you make sure you treat her right! Like a princess! But not just her you treat every girl with respect! And you never Ever put your hands on a girl! Do you understand!" Casey stared into his eyes. "Yes!" Wesley said. "It's your duty to take care of the family now." She said
