"Albert Miller. Who names their kid Albert?" Paxton says as he looks down at the picture of Albert.

I looked at the giant brick building in front of us and waited for Albert to walk out. He was working at some business thing.

"We've been waiting here for the past 30 minutes. Are you sure this is the right place?" Paxton questions.

"Yes. I'm 100% sure." I tell him still looking out the passenger window waiting for him to walk out.

Paxton sighs.

"So..." He begins.

"So what?" I ask, still not looking at him.

"Are we just not gonna talk about what happened last night?" He adds.

I feel my heart start to race. We almost kissed.

What if he doesn't like me back? God that's gonna be so embarrassing. It's gonna ruin our friendship, it would be so awkward.

"Uh what exactly happened last night?" I lie, too afraid to look at him.

"Come on, Ivy. You know what I'm talking about." He pushes the topic.

I finally look at him and see him looking back at me.

"We almost kissed." He says.

"I know."

"And? It doesn't mean anything to you?" He asks.

"Does it mean anything to you?" I ask.

Paxton stared at me, he looked hurt.

Did I say something? Wait. Does he think I don't like him? Does that mean he likes me?

"Nevermind, we should just focus." He says, looking down at his lap.

I wanted to tell him the truth but the words just wouldn't come out. I looked back out the window and tried to stay focused.
I looked at the front doors of the brick building and saw Albert walk out wearing a tusk and was holding a black briefcase.

"He's here." I tell Paxton.

"Great, let's go." He says not looking at me.

He grabs his gun and gets out of the car.

I sigh before doing the same.

We walked across the street until we reached Albert, who was unlocking his car.

Paxton walked up behind Albert as he was getting into his car.

"Time to go to sleep, buddy." Paxton says before taking the handle of the gun and hitting Albert right in the head.

Albert falls to the ground and blood starts to drip from his head.

"I think you hit him a bit too hard." I state.

Paxton rolls his eyes at me.

"Just get him to the car." He says.

What is his problem?

"No." I blurt out.

"What?" Paxton asks.

"You do it." I tell him before walking back to the car.

I might like him, but no one talks to me like that.

I get into the car and put my seatbelt on.

I watch Paxton throw Albert over his shoulder swiftly and carry him towards our car.

He definitely was mad, but he still looked good.

He opens the back door of the car and throws Albert in.
