I laugh at my friends as they make stupid jokes about random things.

I was at lunch with my friends Corbin and Kai. They worked for William so I've known them for a while.

"Dude, you should've seen the way the guy screamed when I shot him." Corbin says as he eats his fries.

Kai laughs at him.

"When's your first mission, Paxton?" Kai asks me.

"Friday. I need to find this drug dealer who stole money from a bank and kill him and bring the money to my uncle." I explain.

"Sounds fun." Corbin says.

Corbin starts talking about something again but I block him out and focus on the forest-green eyes staring at me.

I wink at her making her roll her eyes and look back at Tristen who was talking to her.

I clench my jaw as I watch her laugh at something he said.

"You and Ivy Moore?" I hear Kai's voice.

I look away from her and look at Kai.

"What?" I ask.

"You and Ivy, I saw you staring at her. You like her?" He questions.

"Maybe." I answer.

"Her dad would kill you." Corbin says.

"Why?" I ask.

"He's a gang leader and he's crazy. One time this guy kissed her and James beat him up." Corbin explains.

"I heard his face didn't even look the same after." Kai adds.

I roll my eyes.

"My uncle is bestfriends with James. It won't be a problem." I tell them

"Well, if you say so. Go get your girl." Kai says.

"Good luck, that girl is all sorts of crazy." Corbin tells me.

"No, she isn't. You don't know her." I tell him.

"That's good to hear." He replies.
