Blood Promise

Note: I think I'm going to say this in every chapter, I AM STILL FIXING THE GRAMMAR, PUNCTUATION, VOCABULARY, AND LITERALLY EVERYTHING. I DON'T KNOW WHAT CHAPTERS Y'ALL ARE ONE BUT I'M HOPING IT AIN'T A FREAKING MESSED UP ONE, thanks. x

They walked back to the Hogwarts castle, laughing and talking. "You guys go on, I'm staying out here for a while" Clara stopped walking before they walked through the castle doors.

"Are you sure?" Sirius asked before walking in with James,

"yeah" she nodded,

"have you got your wand on you?" James questioned reassuringly,

"yeah" she nodded again,

"okay, see ya" James smiled,

"bye" Sirius looked into her eyes,

"bye" she blushed, "and uh thanks for today"

"no, thank you" Sirius smiled then walked into the castle.

Clara turned around after Sirius and James left, and walked over to the black lake, she saw Regulus sitting alone and stayed outside for that reason. "Hey Reggy" she said calmly as she sat next to him on the floor,

"Clara, hi" he smiled slightly without taking his eyes off the lake,

"what's up?" she put a hand around Regulus to comfort him,

"nothing" Regulus answered,

"you know, we haven't talked in a while" Clara began,

"yeah...I'm not really supposed to" he answered dryly,

"what do you mean?" Clara asked shocked,

"it's just ever since Sirius ran away, mother has been even more strict" Regulus explained,

"well they don't have to know right?" Clara protested, Regulus was her best friend and she could not lose him.

"Clara..I just can't be seen with you" Regulus said sadly,

"but-but it's not fair!" Her voice cracked, Regulus pulled her into a comforting hug, "who would tell Reggy? Who?"

"Anyone could" "she would find a way to hurt you Clara. I can't let that happen" Regulus looked at her,

"but I don't care what she does to me!" Clara teared up,

"look I have an idea" Regulus began, "we'll make a blood promise. We'll always be friends, and never fight. Okay?"

"what if we fight?" Clara objected,

"then...then...I deserve what happens to me" he hugged her tightly.

"Okay" she answered pulling away, she got up and drew out her dagger,

"I'll go first" Regulus took the dagger from her, he drew a small cut on his hand, and took Clara's hand. "It won't hurt" he said looking into her eyes, he did the same for her while she let out a few whimpers.

They held there hands with the cuts up and pressed them together, they closed their eyes and focused on their promise. They pulled their hands away and a pendant like charm formed, "who should keep it?" Clara asked looking at the object floating in the air,

"you can" Regulus shrugged,

"okay" she took the pendant and held it tight in her hand, "Regulus what happens if we break our promise?" Clara asked,

"I thought you'd have read about it" Regulus teased her, "whoever breaks it has to pay a terrible price"

"not death?" Clara curiously asked
