I continued my journey to the light wanting to see that beautiful girl.

Just knowing her name would make me happy.

But just as I reached the opening, everything turned bright. I spun around to see the bright light coming closer. My breathing sped up as I ran towards the opposite direction.

I have to see the girl.

It can't end like this.

It can't-

I screamed as light engulfed my body.

2 weeks later

I frowned as I looked up at the stars covering the night sky.

"I miss you...so much." I whispered.

"Gracie! C'mon, dinner's ready!" I heard my mom yell.

"Coming!" I called.

I ran inside.

"Go tell your brother the food's done. Everyone is waiting." My mom ordered and I nodded.

I ventured upstairs.

"Nick!" I knocked on the door and he instantly answered.

I gasped when I was engulfed in a hug.

"I'm sorry." He whispered in my ear and I sighed.

"I know." I sighed, placing a light kiss on his head. "Now c'mon, I'm hungry as hell!"

All the tension faded away and was replaced with his giggles.

We rushed downstairs and entered the dining room to see everyone sitting around the table.

We took our seats as my mom passed out the silverware and plates.

It was my turn to do the prayer and I instantly knew what to say.

"Dear God, we thank you for providing us with the food we have in front of us and the friends and family that are gathered here today. We thank you for the love that is shared now and for moments to come. And last but not least thank you for performing the biggest miracle... Saving Justin."

I glanced next to me to see Justin smiling at me.

"Amen." I finished as everyone recited the word.

"I love you." I whispered as everyone engaged themselves in their own conversations.

"I love you too." He giggled, grabbing my hand.

I looked around the room to see the most important people in my life.

My mom, my brother, my basically other mother, and my 26 year old baby.

This is how it's supposed to be.

And even though Justin was special, we all have a little bit of Innocence inside of us.
