Mommy signed all the papers and I sighed in relief. I was finally out of that scary place.
"I love you." I gripped Gracie's hand tightly as we walked towards mommy's car.
"I love you too." she replied and a grin instantly planted itself on my face.
I love the way the words roll down her tongue. And I love that she's saying them to me.
"Justin, I think it's time for you to get a phone." mommy spoke up.
"Really?" I squeaked out. "But mommy, those are for big boys."
"I know honey, you're a big boy." Mommy cooed.
"Really?" I raised an eyebrow, not believing anything that came out of her mouth.
She nodded. "Of course. Now, let's go get you a phone."
After we got my phone, we were going to my house again. Mommy called a taxi since we were too far from home to get the car. She called the taxi again and we were now waiting for it.
I gasped when I pressed the button on the bottom and the screen lit up.
"Gracie!" I screeched. "Gracie look!"
"I know baby." she laughed. "That's the home button. You can also use the button on the right side. Then you slide the screen."
I followed her directions and when I swiped my finger across, the screen floated away and another one came out.
My eyes widened. "Oh no! I killed the first screen! Oh noooo, im a killer!"
Gracie started laughing loudly, holding her stomach.
"You didn't k-kill the screen, you just went to your home screen. That was your lock screen." she said between laughs.
"Ohh." I mumbled.
She pressed the side button, waited a few seconds, and pressed it again. I gasped when the lock screen came on.
"I thought you were dead!" I screamed, causing some weird looks from people walking in the plaza.
I blushed at the extra attention.
"You're crazy, Justin." Gracie shook her head.
I didn't know how to respond to that so I shook my head also.
Gracie looked at me and laughed. "Play with your phone."
