32. "I don't like you."

I poked the broccoli on my plate and stuck out my tongue in disgust.

"Justin, eat your broccoli." Mommy demanded and I shook my head.

"Justin..." she warned.

I nodded and looked at the enemy. Broccoli.

"I don't like you." I muttered, stabbing it with my fork.

"What was that, honey?" Mommy questioned.

"Nothing." I whispered, my cheeks heating up.

I huffed and looked at the empty seats on each side of the table. Gracie had to leave because of some 'emergency.' Yeah right, nothing's more important than food.

I lifted the fork and stuffed it into my mouth. My face scrunched up at the nasty taste and I spit it out onto the plate.

"Eww!" I shrieked.

"Justin!" Mommy scolded.

"What? These trees taste nasty. They're giving my tongue boo boos." I retorted.

Mommy chuckled lightly. "Trees?"

"They're tiny trees see there's the leaves and-"

"I get it, Justin. Just eat it." Mommy cut me off, shaking her head.

I groaned. "Fine."

I frowned and swallowed the broccoli, shivering in disgust.

Gracie wouldn't make me do this. I sighed happily at the thought of her pretty face.

"Kay, so watch your brother while I visit your grandma." My mother ordered.

"Tell her we said hi. Bye." I dismissed.

I wanted her to leave so I could talk to Nick. I feel bad for last time. I don't even know how to explain myself.

"Bye Nick!" She screamed as I closed the door.

She's gone.

I ran to Nick's room, eager to get forgiveness from my brother.

*sigh*

"Niiiick." I stretched out his name and knocked on his bedroom door.

"Come in." He said.

I burst through the door and plopped down on his bed.

"My nigggaaaaaa." I greeted and he instantly started laughing.

"Mom's not here?" he questioned.

"Nah. She left to go to grandma's house." I replied.

I licked my lips, preparing to explain myself.

"Listen, I'm sorry about what happened. I'm just-"

"I forgive you." he cut me off.

"What?" I inquired, not believing my ears.

"I forgive you." he repeated.

"Seriously?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Seriously." He shrugged.

Okay...?

"Oh." I mumbled.

I suddenly felt arms wrapped around me and I giggled, hugging him back.

"I love you, sis." He said and I grinned from cheek to cheek.

"I love you too." I whispered, happiness noticeable in my voice.

Mkay. I KNOW IT'S SHORT BUT I REALLY WANTED TO UPDATE AND I COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE.
