Hope is the little voice you hear whisper "maybe" when it seems the entire world is shouting "no"

(Gracie Adams)

"Justin, get up." I shook him, trying to get him to wake up.

He finally groaned and sat up.

"Mommy?" He spoke up, rubbing his eyes.

"No honey, it's Gracie." I smiled.

He suddenly squealed and wrapped his arms around my waist.

I giggled and hugged him.

I sighed in relief. At least he remembers me.

"Gwacie? Where's mommy?" he questioned and I smiled.

"She's at work, baby. Now go get ready we're going to Wal-Mart to get some food." I informed and he nodded, yawning in the process.

I waited in the living room as he got ready.

When he was done he ran to my side. I grabbed his hand and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. His face turned red and he squealed.

I giggled. Well he is thinking like a 4 year old so I guess that was expected. I wonder when he is going to turn his normal age again.

What will his personality be like?

What happens when his birthday comes up?

Will we celebrate him turning 27 or the age he thinks he's in?

This is all way too confusing and frustrating!

Why am I even thinking about this?

I shook the thought out of my head and led Justin out of the house.

Pattie gave me money and a list to buy the food.

I glanced down at the list.

•Eggs

•Bread

•Cheese

•Chicken

•Ham

•Milk

•Cereal

•As much things as Justin wants that you can afford (he throws tantrums)

I glanced over at Justin who was bouncing up and down in the passenger seat.

How can someone so adorable throw tantrums?

(45 minutes later)

"Justin, we can't afford chocolate." I sighed as he asked me for the hundredth time.

He crossed his arms on his chest and stared at me with a devious smile.

My eyes widened as I realized what he was about to do.

"Justin, don't you da-"

It was too late though.

He dropped to ground and started screaming and crying.

"No, no! Please stop!" I pleaded.

I looked around to see people looking at us as if we were crazy.

I would too if I saw a grown man on the floor throwing a tantrum.

"Justin, please!" I shrieked.

But he just continued.

"Fine! I'll buy you chocolate." I gave up.

He quickly stood up, dust his clothes off, and grabbed a chocolate bar. He placed the chocolate in the cart.

My jaw dropped when he smiled at me and continued to walk to the cash register.

Sneaky little...
