Y/N

I grabbed my bag and my coat and left the building as soon as possible, trying not to bump into anyone that may ask questions. I kept the glasses on and kept my head down, hoping no one would see me or pay any attention. I texted Natasha saying i had to go out quick so she didn't worry, and made my way downtown.

I needed to get some sort of contact lenses or anything that would make my eyes as close as possible to my natural eye color. I made my way to the mall and searched for the most reliable store. I checked two opticians and left with nothing. I decided to go check out fancy dress stores and stores that sell similar things.

I entered a store on the second floor. It wasn't to crowded and wasn't very big. It looked like it was fancy dress for adults as it sold adult like costumes. I searched around looking for anything that could help me.

"Can I help you?" A young woman approached me.

"I'm looking for contact lenses that change your eye color?" I ask her, hoping for a positive answer.

"Ah, yes. Right this way." She lead me to the front of the store near the cashier desk where a selection of contact lenses were displayed.

"Thank you." I smile at her as she goes back to whatever she was doing.

I searched and searched, looking for the best ones most like my eye color. It was hard and I had to look at a few pictures of myself before the serum to get the correct match.

"Just these please." I place them on the cashier desk, in front of the lady that helped me earlier.

"Do i know you?" She questions as she scans the item.

"Nope, don't think so" I reply, she shrugs.

I bought them and got out the store as soon as possible, making my way to the toilets. I wanted to put the contacts in before i got to the compound so it wasn't to suspicious. I carefully placed them on and put the glasses in my bag. They were slightly lighter than my normal eye color, i just hoped no one would notice.

I made my way into the compound and got in the elevator to mine and nats floor. I threw my bag and coat on the bed and went into the bathroom.

I was nervous. Extremely nervous. What if someone realised? What if i accidentally cracked and  told them? I never ever got nervous, but now i felt sick.

Someone knocked on the bedroom door and called out my name. I ignored it and went to my desk, ready to sort out some mission files.

"Y/n? You in there?" I hear steve knock once more.

"Uh, yeah, i'm kinda busy." I reply.

"We've got our training session. You haven't forgot, right?" He shouts back at me. Shit. I jump up and change into my training suit.

"One sec!" I shout.

I open the door and look at the floor, trying to make as little eye contact with steve as possible. I felt my body shaking, and my palms were sweaty.

"You okay?" Steve questioned as we stood in the elevator.

"Yeah, i'm fine why?" I look up for the first time, and pray he doesn't notice.

"You're very quiet." He nudges me and smiles.

"I'm just tired." I reply with a smile.

"I'll go easy on you but i'll still beat you at sparring." Steve teases as we step onto the training floor.

"Oh yeah? You wait, rogers. Imma beat your ass." I reply as we run to the boxing ring.

Obviously, steve, being the super soldier he is, beat me 5-1 at sparring.
