Part 3 | Chapter 15

I got back the the warehouse Hydra was at. I was a bit skeptical, leaving Lily behind but I knew she would be safe with Tasha.

"Ah, Y/N!" Gustav greeted me with a huge smile. It was sickening. He lead me into the building and into a room full with weapons. There wear guns hung up on the wall, knives on shelves and tables with a different selection of weapons from grenades to rocket launchers.

"Come, look." He directed me to the table with grenades. He picked up this small missile like one and placed it in my hands.

"Ex-Wife" He laughed pointing at it. I knew exactly what the ex-wife was. Tony always tells me the story of when him and Rhodey were fighting a bunch of iron suit drones made by Ivan and Rhodey tried to use this. It was created by Hammer industries, the guy that flirted with Natasha at the party.

I examined the missile and nodded my head as if i was impressed. It was nothing compared to some of the things Tony makes.

Gustav took it out my hands and placed it back down carefully.

"Nicholai!" He shouted as Nicholai walked in.

"Отец? (Father?)" Nicholai nodded at me.

"Nicholai is going to train you again." Gustav explained causing me and Nicholai to roll our eyes.

"I don't need training." I scoff.

"Yes, yes you do. You need to prepare for big mission." Gustav replied with his thick russian accent.

He led us to a rusty elevator and walked and, signalling for me and Nicholai to follow. Gustav clicked one of the two buttons available. Down. The ride down to wherever we were going was silent except the slight chuckles that left Gustav's mouth. He really was crazy.

When we got out, we walked down a small orange illuminated hallway and turned left into a gym. It had a boxing ring, treadmills, punching bags, everything the gym had at the compound. Not many people were there and it was very dark and gloomy, one shattered bulb lighting up as much of the room as possible.

"Change to that." Gustav pointed at a small pile of clothes sat on a bench near the entrance. I didn't hesitate to go and grab them.

"You can change in there." He pointed to a door in the corner of the room which i slowly went to.

It was a small room. One sink, one toilet, a small mirror and not much room to move around. The yellow light bounced of the mirror making the whole room a horrible colour. I got changed into the clothes. It wasn't much different to my mission suit, except it was all black and didn't have any fancy gadgets. Only one holster and some pockets.

I entered back into the room to see everyone that was previously training had gone and Nicholai was in the ring, in his training clothes, talking to his father.

"Right, ребенок, get ready and train. Nicholai will assist you." Gustav informed me before leaving with another man who was waiting in the doorway.

"Alright, you can use your powers, no deadly or fatal shots, fist and powers only, and no dirty punches." Nicholai commanded as we took our stances.

"Go!" He shouted and charged at me.

I teleported to the other side of the ring and punched him round the head from behind causing him to stumble a little, allowing me to kick him to the ground.

"I said. I. Don't. Need. Training." I grit my teeth as I speak.

"My father thinks you do and we must do as he says." Nicholai dismisses what i say.

"Why? Why do you let him control you when you can be doing better things?" I question, letting my guard down a little, accidentally giving Nicholai the chance to pin me down.

"I thought you wanted to join us parker. Not having second thoughts are you?" He smirked down at me.

"No." I mumble, using my telekinesis to throw him off me.

"Good." He laughed.

"Now i want you to fight with all you have. And don't be shy, i can't take it." He explains smugly and I nod my head. It's very rare for people to be able to handle my attacks with my powers so i thought it would be funny to see him lose.

"Go!" Nicolai shouts again and this time I charge at him and get ready to blast him. But all i do is tumble into the ropes of the ring. Turning around instantly, I look at Nicholai who is standing with his arms crossed on the other side of the ring with a smile on his face.

"How- How did you just do that?" I questioned.

"Teleportation. One of my many powers." He shrugs like it was nothing.

"What?" I question again in disbelief.

"You see, when you managed to escape on that mission and left us, my father was very angry. He hired many scientists to come and try recreate the serum that he gave you and this one guy got it. My father gave me the serum and now, I'm just like you." He laughed at my shocked face.

"Why did he choose you?" I questioned.

"He knows i'm the one person who hates you as much as him." Nicholai revealed.

"Why do you hate me?" I stood up straight and took a step closer.

"Because you were all I had." He took a step closer to me.

"What do you mean?" Our training was long forgotten.

"My father kept me at that hydra base. Never let me go to school, have a normal life. As soon as mother died I was the only family he had left, the closest person to him. Hydra found you, and he was commanded to test you with those serums, I was to help and supervise. You were the only person there who was my age and i felt close to. You saw how my father treated me, I spoke to you about everything he did. I was there with you through your experiments. Then when you went on that mission and escaped, you had left me and I was under my fathers control again. That. That was the moment I hated you. Hated you for leaving me alone to deal with everything for the rest of my life." He confessed.

"Whenever we trained you treated me horribly. You acted like you hated me. I thought you only spoke to me because it was some sort of trick for me to be part of Hydra and stay." I reply back.

"I treated you horribly because you had to learn. I trained you hard so you didn't die when you went on missions." He explained.

"Why didn't you try escape. You had plenty of opportunities." I ask.

"After you left i was angry. I was stuck with no one. I used my anger to help Hydra. I wanted to get back at you and the avengers. I never thought you would join us again, I must admit." Nicholai smirked.

"Then why don't we leave together. We can go be safe, and take down Hydra together. You can leave this life behind and do good." I try get to him.

"You don't get it do you? Hydra soon became my family and their views and beliefs became my own." He seethes.

"Why do you want to leave again? You've just rejoined?" He asks angrily.

"I don't, i was just asking." I defend and he nods.

"You may leave." He gestures to the door, ending our conversation. I left as soon as i could and went straight to the car, driving straight into the city to the compound.

(A/N) Sorry this took a while, i've had many exams and college things to do. But it's finally here!
