Backstory: Irelmer was born as a hybrid between a human and a Twi'lek in an average family on Coruscant. While she mostly got her mother's looks, she inherited the color of her skin from her father. Her younger brother however looked more human, just like their father, but had red dots on his skin from his mother.
She was 4 years old when she was brought to the temple by master Windu. She was the only one in her family to be force sensitive, and thus broke her parents' hearts the day she left. Though Irelmer was never the one to look back.
She forgot most of her youth, focusing more on her training and future duties. Teachers relised very soon how engaged and fascinated she was about learning about the force, and how control it's abilities. She had a tendancy to neglect her saber training, and ratherd being inside her room meditating.
Master Windu was the one who ended up taking her as his padawan when she was 15, mostly because of her patience and increasing skill with the force. Plus, he quite liked how she was rather calm, and would much rather meditate than spar, even if it was necessary.
She was knighted at the young age of 22, and took upon her first padawan only a year after that.

Backstory: Trevnig is a boy born on Tatooine, but not as a slave. His mother died during childbirth, but his father took care of him like the father he was supposed to be.
When Anakin was a padawan, during the trip when his mother died, he had met the young boy and his father in the city, and he recognized that the young 4 year old was force sensitive. So, the young padawan talked to his father about it, and told him that he'd be back by the end of their trip.
Trevnig's dad, of course heartbroken, let his son go with the jedi, knowing his life would be better than the life on Tatooine, where he was one coin away from needing to sell himself as a slave.
As Trevnig grew up, he showed signs of being simular to Anakin. Bored easily, not liking politicans, impatient. He hated meditating, and he would much rather train hand to hand combat instead of sparring with lightsabers, which he after a while found fun, just not as fun as hand to hand.
For just those reasons, Irelmer took him as her padawan when he was 14. She was almost completely opposite from him, yet she was wise enough to know that they could learn and benefit from one another.
In the beginning, Trevnig didn't like her at all. He didn't trust her, and he hated the way she trained him, forcing him to meditate and how to use the force.
It took a few monthes before the duo finally worked out their differences, and at last Trevnig accepted her as his new master.
