Small Authors Note
So... I just wanted to know if my previous chapter was well received considering I hadn't wrote anything like that before in this story.
My question to you is
Did you like it? Or should I just pack my bags and leave that Avenue.
Lots of Love,
Laya <3
-Mae's pov
I sat up from my comfortable position with another yawn. Goosebumps prickled along my skin as the warmth of Rafe disappeared. I gave Rafe a tired smile a small groan falling from my lips as I streched.
I began reaching for my jersey as I was not going to let Katelyn see me in this state otherwise I'd be getting even more nonsense from her then I was already predicting. My fingers were mere centimetres away when in a blur it vanished from my reach.
My first instinctive thoughts were that maybe it was inside out and he was just putting it in the right way for me, you know sweet boyfriend stuff.
The more time my hand stayed out streched, open palmed, cold and empty. The more I began to realise this was not going to be the case.
My eyes snapped up to the blue-eyed jersey stealing culprit, all stunned and confused as to why my jersey was still not in my hands. I stood up from off the bed turning to face him more then I could before. He sat there devilishly playing with the jersey, moving it back and forth between his hands.
"What are you doing Rafe?" I questioned worried as a knot tied itself in my stomach. The sinister grin on his face indicated nothing good, at least not for me. He let out a small chuckle as he layed the jersey against his chest, sizing it up. My heart skipped a beat watching how the frame of my jersey seemed so small against his own even with it being slightly oversized.
"Can't you see? I'm admiring my new jersey! Mango isn't my usual fragrance but I can live with it" he gently chatted bringing the jersey up to his nose absorbing the scent which my moisturiser had left.
"Rafe." I said lowly kneeling on the bed trying to grab the jersey from his hands. I aimed my hand right at his chest; at the centre of my jersey. I wasn't even thinking about how my 'crevasse' would look right now but I don't think Rafe would either considering I am full on lunging at him.
His eyes flashed with a mix of 'oh no' and 'this'll be good' as he clambered off the bed.
As Rafe left my body was enveloped by his bed with a delicate thud and a very unpleased look on my face. I rolled onto my side as I narrowed my eyes at him.He stood there a half smile in his face as a weak chuckle left his mouth. I could see he was slightly frightened, possibly by the prospect of me tackling him to get the jersey back. I hoped those measures would bot be necessary.
"Not funny" I growled before pressing my lips together into a stern line. I moved myself back off the bed, crossing my arms expectingly over my chest.
"Give it" I muttered bitterly rounding my way around the bed towards a never-gonna-happen Rafe Cameron.
He held my jersey in the air, teasing me with our height difference. I wasn't short by any means, he was just simply taller than me. An infuriating ordeal.
"Maebelline, where's the manners?" He asked acting horrified at my lack of 'please'.
"Jersey stealers don't get manners" I replied standing in front of him arms still crossed.
His grin still hadn't worn off as the beginning words of a dare started to roll from his lips.
