Mae's pov

I stood in Rafes bathroom, the dress, heels and make up now on. I breathed deeply into the mirror as I heard the numerous voices entering the house from downstairs. I was a little nervous, I wasn't usually invited to parties especially Kook parties.

"Mae, can you please hurry up. People are starting to turn up and they will want to see me" he called a little distressed from the other side of the door. I laughed as I opened the door and stepped out, rolling my eyes at him.

"You're so up yourself" I muttered and placed my make-up bag away. I could feel Rafe's eyes linger on me as I crouched down to zip my bag up, hoping that nobody would go through it.

"Y-you got the dress" he said with a small nearly unnoticeable stutter. I smiled and played with the ends of the dress as I stood up turning to face him. He looked breathless and wound up in wonder as he looked at me, the exact same way he had done in the changing rooms, expect this time the back was done up.

"Yeah, it was nice. Is nice" I corrected myself and bounced on my feet as I spoke, trying to resist the blush from growing on my cheeks. He sucked in a breath as his eyes wandered once more, I stood there for a moment feeling the heat rush to where ever he was looking.

"It is nice" he stated simply back locking eyes with mine and taking a couple steps towards his bedroom door but never looking away from me. His eyes looked soft and gentle but also cool and a bit rash. He opened the door for me as we made our descent down his stairs towards the ever growing noise.

Many people whistled and cheered at Rafe's appearance. I got a few puzzled stares from others but most of their jaws dropped at how I looked.

"See I am not up myself" Rafe lent down to whisper to me before he was pulled away, a smug smirk resting on his face. I laughed lightly and waved my hand at him in a 'whatever' stature.

I walked around slowly as I looked at what others were up to. Most of them were already way past drunk, a few were making out and the others were gossiping.I tried to talk to some of the girls, but I should've known a pretty dress won't change my status. In my boredom I grabbed myself a drink, much to my own surprise. I took a deep breath before hesitantly bringing the cup up to my lips. It was rather bitter and my throat burned afterwards, not something I preferred. However, I continued drinking it as I wasn't going to let Rafe see me drink water at this party. That would just give him another thing to tease me about.

I tried talking to a few people but they just dismissed me in their intoxicated state. I really wished I had Katelyn here with me, she would know how to socialize with these wasted teenagers. I laughed at a few trying to walk outside, stumbling with every single step. I then went and watched the beer pong, which looked to be filled with scrumpy, many headaches would be gifted tomorrow morning. They all cheered when some blonde jock managed to get the ball in one of the many cups. I covered my hand over my mouth as I tried to hide my laughter at the pathetic game.

"Blondie aye?" a low voice whispered in my ear as I quickly whipped my head around to meet Rafe's eyes. I glanced back at the blonde and then raised an eyebrow in disbelief when the realization of his comment hit me.

"I was watching the game not the boy" I stated and flicked some of my hair over my shoulder as Rafe's eye gleamed with mischief. His lips curled into a smirk as he leaned over me and I tilted my head to the side quizzically waiting for his reply.

"There is no way you'll get with him at the end of the night" he said as my lips parted and eyes widened.

"Your right there is no way" I said crossing my arms over my chest and turning my attention back to him.

"But you have to now" Rafe said a little smugly as I sighed heavily. I clenched my jaw tightly and groaned under my breath before I decided to call the first 'shut up and listen' in our game so far.

"Blue" I stated bluntly and turned looking up at him seriously. His eyebrows furrowed at my words before the connection was made in his head. He nodded a little annoyed before he pulled me away to his room. We got a few weird stares from those who were sober, but they probably would be drunk enough to forget soon.

"Why not?" he asked immediately as I paced over to sit on his window seat. I stayed silent for a minute fiddling with my fingers, my head down as I thought over the dare and the boy in question.

"Mae, why not?" Rafe asked getting impatient which annoyed me further.

"Because it breaks a rule!" I snapped back at him, a little harsher then I wanted too.

"What rule?" he quickly asks back as I drag a hand back through my hair.

"The second one" I whispered under my breath and stood up to face him. He looked down at me confused.

"The life changing rule" I said clearing his confusion, but he still seemed a bit weary.

"How is it life changing?" he asked bluntly and I dropped my eye to the ground.

"Have a think Rafe" I muttered and rolled my eyes. His face faltered for a moment before a small smile spread across his face. I raised an eyebrow as he started to chuckle. I thought he must've misheard me, otherwise why on earth would he be laughing.

"Your not, you're joking" he managed to get out between bolts of laughter.

I took a step back my mouth falling open at his rudeness. I frowned and huffed in frustration at him. How could he be so harsh about such a serious topic!

"Rafe, I'm being serious and it is nothing to be ashamed of" I said as he slowly grew quiet taking in my dead serious presence. He made a small 'oh' sound and his blue eyes clouded with guilt.

"You know what forget it, you don't even care" I said bursting out of his room and into the crowd of masses before he could stop me. I heard him calling my name but I just ignored him and continued to hide. How could be so harsh about something that was so personal, which I had to trust him enough to tell him.

I spent the rest of the night avoiding Rafe and his friends who he had on the hunt for me. People started to leave and I panicked rushing back up to Rafe's room which was pretty stupid hiding place. Must've been the alcohol thinking for me.

This was one of my poorest decisions yet, and now I was discovered and I couldn't hide now.
