Mae's pov

Rafe and I spent the rest of the day  really knuckling down on our classes and my gosh did we have a lot of biology to catch up on! We had only missed two lessons but I swear she covered two years worth of criteria.

After some vigorous note writing and a collective amount of sighs as well as some 'did we do that last time?' looks across at Rafe we were finally at the end of the day.

I leaned my head on Rafe's shoulder when we approached my locker; shoving and grabbing all the books we'd need for our catch up study session this afternoon. My head was half by spinning at all the new terminology that I was trying to process.

"Do you think we'll be able to organize a catch up time with Mrs Fiord for biology?" I asked Rafe while trying to tidy up my locker a bit. Mostly trying to get my thoughts in a straight line by rearranging my books.

He slumped his arms on the top of my locker door, watching me as I tried to tidy my locker up a bit. He seemed a little puzzled with my rearranging but didn't say anything nevertheless.

"I'll email her tonight between sorting your room and our beach session" he said with a smile and little wink the moment I look across at him. I lifted my hand which wasn't holding a heavy biology book and pushed at his arm. Why did he have to wink at me like that in public? Great now I'm blushing...

"What's that wink for?" I quietly asked the blush only growing as my mind dipped into corners that it probably shouldn't have.

God damn it Mae, now you're blushing more. Rafe tilted his head at me as I swiftly turned mine away.

"Never mind, I don't want to know" I stated whilst grabbing my locker door and shutting rather rapidly wanting to leave this conversation already. Rafe fell forward a bit not expecting me to shut the locker door so quickly and much rather give him some time to stop resting on it. I nearly laughed at him but shortly reminded myself that if I did I would suffer for it later.

I guess, dare night is officially on. Hopefully he knows that.

I turned on my heel and made my way to the building's exit. Rafe trailed after me one of his hands wrapping around my waist when he finally caught up with me. He pulled me into his side and leaned his head down to my ear.

"The winks for some many things I have planned for tonight" he lowly stated sending a shiver down my spine. I closed my eyes for a breif moment as I walked trying to calm my already racing heart.

I looked at him and was soon drowning in the mischief of his eyes. My eyes flicked down to his lips as he pulled the lower lip back between his teeth before they turned into a devilish smirk.
What on earth was going on in that mind of his? I hope everyone likes a live Monarch butterfly exhibit because that is officially my new status. Not student, butterfly exhibit curtesy of Rafe Cameron.

"Just watch yourself Raferty, I have a few dares up my own sleeves" I countered smirked at him wiggling my eyebrows.

"I bet you do and I even bet you have a lot more hiding in your room" he joked as I rolled my eyes at him.

"My room is not that messy!" I protested and shimmed my way out of his grip. I turned around walking backwards as I talked to him. He looked me up and down with one eyebrow raised.

"Really? Because last time I ended up folding your laundry" he teased. I ducked my head to side licking my lips trying not to smile.

"I didn't exactly ask you too, did I?" I tauntingly asked him.
