Audrey's POV

I was at Junk-N-Stuff while Gooch was at a chair.

"Audrey, hurry up!" Gooch called.

"What's up?" I walked over to Gooch.

"Look at this antique chair I got." Gooch showed me the chair.

"Nice." I nodded.

"It's one of the very first vibrating chairs ever made!" Gooch exclaimed.

"Okay." I grinned awkwardly.

"Will you help me fix it up so I can relax my back?" Gooch asked.

"Sure." I agreed.

I hear the door open and see Henry walk inside.

"Never mind." I smiled and walked over to Henry. "Hey, Hen! How was school?"

"Good. You?" Henry patted my shoulder.

"Good, I guess." I shrugged. "I hate being homeschooled. Anyway, why are you here? I didn't know you were working today."

"I'm not, but I got to go downstairs and check the crime computer." Henry said in a panicked voice. "There's been a purse snatcher.

"Oh, just file a police report." My dad walked in the room.

"Who got her purse snatched?" Gooch chimed in.

"My mom." Henry replied.

"Your mom?" My dad looked at Henry. "Wait, what happened? Is she okay? Was she hurt? What happened? Is she okay?"

"Why are you so interested in his mom?" Gooch asked.

"Have you seen his mom?" My dad gave Gooch an intense look. "We got to help her!"

"Ray, I'm sure Henry's father is taking good care of her." Gooch assured.

"Henry's dad is out of town." I interrupted.

"How do you know that?" My dad looked at me.

"He tells me everything." I pointed to Henry.

"Yep, he's out of town." Henry nodded.

"He's out of town?" My dad pulled Henry to him.

"Yeah, but I can handle things." Henry assured.

"No you can't." My dad scoffed and let go of Henry.

"Why can't I?" Henry exclaimed in frustration.

"You're but a boy." My dad pulled out his bubblegum tube container. "Aud, come to Henry's house later!"

"Maybe, but I'm almost 14 years old, and I've been your sidekick long enough that I can— he's just leaving while I'm talking!"

"This chair vibrates." Gooch told Henry.

"Okay?" Henry huffed.

I opened the door to Henry's house with Henry and we stopped dead in our tracks.

"Oh, Henry, look who heard about my purse and came to help." Mrs. Hart said.

I shut the door behind us.

"Wow." Henry began, sarcastically. "Captain Man. In our house.. again."

"My son, Henry." Mrs. Hart smiled. "And that's his best friend, Audrey."

"Ah, yes, I remember." Captain Man nodded.

"So, why are you here?" I began.

"To protect your mother." Captain Man put his arm around Mrs. Hart.
