Chapter 17

Lisa is astonished for a couple of seconds seeing such an outstanding appearance all of sudden. Add to that, for the first time in her life, an unfamiliar man is holding Lisa tightly in his embrace. Under the dim light, Lisa is looking at his face in a close distance. She suddenly thinks of the sunlight filled picture, handsome in a dreamy way.

Jungkook looks down on her from above to observe her for a few seconds then quickly let go of her body.

Lisa quickly returns to her calm demeanor: "Team leader Jeon!"

Jungkook doesn't answer. His eyes stopped on her delicate neck then raised his hand to touch it.

His action is really fast. Lisa can't react in time, and then feel rough fingers glaze over her skin giving her a tinkling sensation. According to natural reaction, Lisa furrows her brow then tilts her head to avoid it.

Her response of a hedgehog raising its needle fur makes Jungkook look at her once again. The cold and sharp in his eyes went away replaced with light distant smile.

"The wound is shallow, you can take care of it." His voice is even warmer than in the phone while not scary and demanding like before but quite gentle.

Lisa touches her neck, blood, so the blade left a cut on your neck: "Yes"

Thinking of the fact that Jungkook just saved her, his physical ability and his excellent ability to analyze, Lisa speaks up in a respectful and sincerely tone: "Thank you sir."

Jungkook lightly says: "No need. I will find you tomorrow to discuss everything happened tonight. An officer who got held as a hostage by a criminal, you really made me proud."

Lisa: "..."

At this time, there is more and more footsteps coming from the surrounding, other officers in the team have arrived.

"Superintendent!"

"Superintendent, you came back?"

Some people shouted up. Rosé also appeared. She is a bit stunned seeing Jungkook then speaks up in a clear voice: "Hello superintendent!"

Jungkook glances over everybody while disregards Lisa to work with Tae getting Yang Yu out of here. Seeing his underlie and coworker, his eyes are full of laughter and his face brightens up.

Everyone is all smiling; warm smiles however change to the look anger and despise the moment they face Yang Yu.

No words of reunion, Jungkook gives order to everyone:" Mr.N, take 2 people to examine Yu's place. Tieu Tran, Dai Ho and you are to take the criminal to the car. Tieu Trinh, you take everyone else to get testimony. Rosé, you take Lisa somewhere to take care of her wound.
( I've left some of the officer's names as it is cause it's quite hard to remember what name I've changed it to in the future)

Everyone looks at Lisa, Rosé speaks up loudly: Lisa, are you alright?"While running fast toward Lisa.

"I'm alright, just a light cut." Lisa smiles.

Lisa rejects Rosé's help, Rosé doesn't insist then quickly goes somewhere else.

Lisa goes back to the police car, opens the first aid box, and looks at the mirror to place 2 bandages on. She can't help and furrow brows. The most injured place is not her neck but her chest.

Just then, Jungkook pulled her away from Yang Yu with great force. While Lisa didn't pay attention then, but just now that he grabbed her chest so that place is hurting. Lisa's skin is already quite thin and sensitive, there must be purple marks with this amount of pain that she is feeling.

This feeling is strange yet odd, it isn't quite painful but it makes Lisa feels uncomfortable. But Lisa doesn't think much of it, she massages the injured place seeing that there is nobody else around until it gets a bit better. She gets out of the car and walks toward Yang Yu's dormitory.

Everything else is done very smoothly. The officers found a big amount of knives under Yang Yu's bed in his room, and his "plan" that was written by him. There is time and place along with his thoughts written on it. Yang Yu also Obediently plead guilty of the charges.

Yang Yu lived in a small town close by city Lin. He came from a good family, also well taken care of since young. When he was 16, his father went bankrupt. His family also went down so his mother divorced his father because of it. His school's achievement has been bad, so after his family trouble he failed to get into college thus he had to go to the city to work. Despite, he always thought that he deserved better than this, he has a bad behavior in his job. Because of that, he hasn't worked at a job for long in his 4 years in this city. His friend back home introduces the job he got before this job. But he often went to play games during his shifts so he eventually gets fired. The team realized that all of this information matched up to what Lisa's analyzed data of the suspect.

After everything was done, Jungkook told everyone who has been working all nights these last few days to go to the station to turn in their guns and leave early to rest, and another experienced officer Mr.N and he will inquire Yang Yu.

Getting in the car, Mr.N  mentions Lisa: "I heard about how Lisa got caught as a hostage, she was actually almost able to convince Yang Yu to surrender. Your student really isn't simple. Oh that's right, she is somewhat like you when you just got in the team, so ambitious.

Like him? This idea is quite interesting. Jungkook laughs.

Right when he got off the plane today, hearing that Lisa and Tae are at the park, he quickly goes there. At the park's gate, he realized the strange atmosphere, the park which should be quiet at night is now noisy.

Reaching the small forest, Jungkook sees Yang Yu has caught Lisa. He was about to hit Yang Yu from behind but then he heard Lisa's cold threats. Her performance was better than he thought. Despite being a hostage, she was controlling the situation.

When he rescued Lisa from Yang Yu at that moment, what he saw right away was calm and pure black eyes of hers. She was caught as a hostage but the moment she saw him, there wasn't any fright or panic, just relief and understanding of the situation.

She recognizes him so slowly greeted him: "Superintendent! "While she didn't realize that on her fragile pale neck, there is a cut that is bleeding disturbingly. She has a firm mental state when the tiny face of her gives off a hazy expression of a bookworm.

Moreover, one thing that surprised him is that she is very fragile, can't feel any weight holding her in his embrace. Her face is about likeable, but her skin tone is too pale while her skin is too thin, giving off almost no pink blush,which makes her look really weak. How can she work with him in life and death situation in this state?

Also, Jungkook feels that something's not right.

He didn't pay attention when it happened, thinking about it now; he just realized that there was a strange feeling. Actually, the moment he pulled her into his embrace, he accidentally grabbed her chest.

Perhaps, it has been so long since he was this intimate with women; the soft and elastic feeling when he touched suddenly becomes very real, it still lingers in the palm of his hand.

She has a petite built, but it seems she isn't thin...
